HD38 is a fast, marketers dream.  If you don't think he had basically his pick of offers to counter, you are just being obtuse because you don't like some words he said once.

Cool to see Hudson riding again. Kid is pretty fast for not riding much. Haiden looks spicy on the 450.

No. If you're good enough to move up and are eligible based on nfl rules you go pro. Would be insane for first round draft pick to choose to stay in college. Nfl mandates 3 years out of high school before nfl eligible. Most high level college players enroll early and take summer classes and graduate in three years. There's been players go to college for two years and basically take a year off to workout instead of playing third year of college 250 class ball. 

Bottom line is there's no sport I'm aware of where someone who is eligible to move to the highest level and who will be competitive at that level  chooses to stay at the lower level. In most cases the finances also encourage the move and with moto that's not so obvious (wish it was....) but surely Deegan wouldn't be taking a pay cut to move up, especially if you include the extra chances for win bonuses he believes he'll be in contention for. 

Like I said, I understand why he made the choice he did, but if you don't think a big part of the motivation for making the decision isn't the fact that they know he isn't actually ready to beat Jett and Chase you're just not being honest about this. 

Would be total non issue if he had ounce of humility in him and showed the proper respect to those guys, admitted he's not ready instead of trying to sell it as some 4D chess jedi business move. Or if he had the mental fortitude to take his lumps for the sake of the learning experience like Blair suggested. But none of that is reality and that's not the Deegan way so here we are.

It's half a series, minor league title..... it's a rung on the ladder.... stepping stone....  not the pinnacle that must be defended....

its recommended tht u stay for ur full 4 yrs of college eligibility but certain situations ( if ur ready to dive into the deep end of elite NFL comp ) half of the QBs declare for the nfl draft after junior yr  , college basketball is the only 1 where u can be 1 & done , play college ball as a true freshman & then declare for the draft if ur tht good

Deegan inc made a  business decision instead. They're telling you what their priorities are with their actions, just like MXON, and I'm not going to believe the bullshit they're selling when their actions consistently say the opposite. I’m wondering if some exec at Yamaha made this decision, and if so I hope they’re coming under the pressure of severe criticism. 

The time to move up is right now. I get that they have made a substantial investment but this is racing. Deegan is ready to move up and they pulled the rug out from under us. 

I doubt it was the Deegans but someone at Yamaha and I wouldn’t mind knowing who.

I can see point if the racer privately doesn’t see themselves as a contender for the top position at a historic moment in the sport, but presumably Deegan has, or soon will have, more than enough to retire so with that aspect now a non factor concerning post-career anxieties, it comes back to the spirit of racing and clearly a lot of people feel it was time to move up. we can debate it with various perspectives and facts, but there is significant sentiment the sport lost with this news and it’s ok to hold that opinion.

In a huge Bam Bam fan and I think Haiden is much more efficient and much better at line choice along with adapting to new lines as a race wears on. I think he is going to be pretty sporty pretty quickly next summer 🌞

I totally agree on finishing up his 250 career in SX and not doing anything silly just because it seems cool. Having the 450 deal inked gives him finality to this phase and I think motivation to win everything in sight before the switch. I think Haiden is the perfect example of moving to the next step at the perfect time. His Dad and his family seem to be as dialed in as anyone I've ever seen.
