GOP is going to be Vance or Rubio. DeSantis career peaked a little too early so not sure he'll be able to hang with those two.
If I had to guess now I'd say it'll be Rubio and Newsome as nominees. Dems will just anoint the big money guy and not have serious process, again..... not sure people trust Vance yet and current position doesn't really give him opportunity to do much to change that. Vance is nominee if for any reason Trump doesn't finish term obviously.

The ruling is exactly what one should expect from pretty much any judge - Liberal Democrat or otherwise - given the rules of procedure surrounding Grand Jury proceedings. The only surprising part to me is that the judge commented on the DOJ's motives for the request, saying that the motive is more likely diversion rather than transparency. The judge's point, I take it, is that the law so obviously weighs in favor of not releasing the Grand Jury materials that this couldn't have been a good faith request. Even if it's true, saying so unnecessarily politicizes the ruling.
Yeah both obama appointed judges have said there's no meaningfu information there thats worth them releasing it and they have not met the high standards needed to release it.
Well if thats the fucking case why not let the public be the judge of that if there's nothing meaningful there.
But let's also not forget it common knowledg that Maxwell lawyer is also pushing to keep it under wraps as it limits her barging power as she takes her case to the Supreme Court.
