Tim Cotter is now censoring people on the YT live feed? This shit is unreal...

Do you people ever just take a deep breath and enjoy the sport? Spring loaded, waiting for the next social media thing (fake or not) over which to feign offense.

did you ask them about the tree that was hit? Or perhaps for a comment regarding their rationale for banning "journalists"?

I think the general rule between Dirtbikes and trees is that trees win.

Also, I don’t proclaim to be a journalist so if you’re labeling Slowie a “journalist”, we have some serious problems.

What's unreal is that you would think that is legit....

Do you also think it's the real Jeffrey Epstein commenting in there?

Probably time for you to go outside and touch some grass, you have clearly lost complete touch with reality.

Look at the comments on this video...its crazy to see the hate DC & MX Sports is getting...for a long time DC could do no wrong, and MX Sports was the savior of MX...crazy how fast things can change in public perception.

If the website run by the couple who are not journalists and just wanted to go on an extended moto vacation, then put out content calling everyone racists and talking about how the patriotism at opening ceremonies made them uncomfortable keep getting a credential, then I'm not sure how anyone gets denied a credential.

The calling everyone racist was on social media somewhere. Best i can gather is the guy who runs the site has some connection to the sport and this is the girlfriend along for the ride. One of them must be independently wealthy because they don't advertise or do much of anything. Always seemed like the blog was just a cover to get the press pass and access on their moto vacation with accompanying Instagram travel page.

I remember this. She does a lot on x. That's exactly who I thought you were talking about. For her to get credentials when others couldn't blew my mind and the just be accredited media speech out the window. Id like to hear what makes her accredited vs others. No im not talking slowie. I know actual people that report on races and they can't get a pass.

From Racerhead

The second thing that happened was MX Sports prohibiting Slowie Films from attending this race or any other that we organize. Last week, after the Washougal National, Conner “Slowie” Schmude posted a video of Jeremy Hand’s late-moto crash off the track, the one in which his bike bounced over a crowd fence, clipped a fan, and then bounced over another fence. Schmude accused MX Sports Pro Racing of covering up the crash, saying it was what caused an earlier red flag, which it was not. The TV announcers—James Stewart and Jason Weigandt—had explained that it was Anton Nordstrom, once they could identify him as he was down in the whoops and surrounded by officials and medics. Fortunately, Nordstrom was not seriously injured, nor was Jeremy Hand. Hand’s crash actually took place late in the race, well after the red flag that was caused by Nordstrom. The video was not a part of the TV show, and officials only saw it after the TV truck brought it to their attention after the race, so that Washougal can consider future changes to the part of the track and infield. There was no cover-up—the red flag and restart were caused by Nordstrom. When this was pointed out repeatedly to Schmude, he refused to take the video down, to the detriment of the series and the racetrack. It was clearly misinformation, and he knew it. But he wouldn’t take it down. It’s probably still up.

This was not our first go-around with Slowie Films, who hails from Pittsburgh, and you can probably tell by all of the nonsense he’s posted about me, Tim Cotter, MX Sports, and Loretta Lynn’s Ranch since he was told to leave that he has a personal agenda and it’s not helping the sport of motocross, nor the tracks that are struggling to find insurers. The insurance issue is a very serious one for tracks all around the country. One of his previous videos of an outdoor national attendee getting burned after looping out a pit bike into a campfire is a big part of the reason pit bikes are being banned all over the sport. Letting a guy like this onto the property to “do whatever the f&ck I want” (his words) is asking for trouble. Instead, we’re telling him to just stay away from our events altogether. Would you let someone come to your place of business to party, instigate trouble, and shoot videos of the ensuing mayhem to share online and monetize himself? Would you roll out the red carpet to a guy who’s there posting videos, mischaracterizing your event, insulting you, and lying about you? I don’t know of any that would, so then why should we?

Misinformation has consequences, and videos like these are not good for the overall sport of motocross, as Slowie has been told. He has refused to listen, though, in search of more clicks and views. Sometimes you have to accept those consequences.

Completely valid angle, I still think the banning from every event was heavy handed, and nobody is asking them to “roll out the red carpet” for Slowzy but if he’s criticized MXSports and specifically Davey before I don’t blame them for not giving him the benefit of the doubt

This ban is absolutely gross. It’s next-level, and clearly aimed at more than just Slowie and his audience. This was a message to all independent creators who want to come to the races—not just the ones seeking press passes. The message is loud and clear: if you’re a fan or creator who captures and shares something they don’t like, the long arm of the Octopus will come for you too.

This move is disappointing, but honestly, not all that surprising. MXSports and FELD own the sport—that’s just the reality. They can turn anyone away at the gate, no explanation needed. And yeah, they have every right to refuse access—I get that. But a ban like this? I think it does real damage to the sport as a whole.

When I was working as press in the industry, I knew my access was completely dependent on how FELD and MXSports felt about our coverage at any given moment. It's their ball game and they run a tight ship. Whether it was the single-race media press passes I started out getting or the season long media hard card's I had for the last 5-6 seasons I was covering the sport, they made it clear: post something they don’t like—photo, video, article, whatever—and you’d get a text or email, quick. It didn’t happen often, but it happened enough to get you the message.  You may not be surprised, I heard from them more often about our coverage during the seasons Cooksey wrote a weekly for us.

I understand their need to protect their investment. But censoring the very people who help grow and promote the sport? It seems like a very short-sighted emotional move—especially in 2025’s digital world.

The things they’re trying to protect the sport from—drama, controversy, crashes, injuries, conspiracies—are the very things that bring growth in this attention economy. This sport is gnarly and people get catastrophic injuries often . Let people see that. And even (maybe especially)cthe chaos in the pits—sex, parties, personalities and maybe a little debauchery—sells.  To even exist in the algorithm, you need drama, controversy, and wild moments. Shutting that down is just shutting the door to a fast growing demographic.

Guys like Slowie are exactly what we need more of in this sport—not less. The sport isn’t under attack; it’s evolving. And with that evolution, you will see gowth.

So what if a social media guy got a red flag fact wrong? So what if a YouTuber tosses out some wild conspiracy theory that tries to paint MXSports or FELD as an evil cabal of capitalists? If it's not true, banning the person that spreads what you think is misinformation or disinformation, does not make it seem false.

Bottom line: If you don’t like it, don’t watch. But a lifetime ban? That’s insanity.

Yeah, he should totally come back so he can take shit from internet tough guys who have no idea what they’re actually bitching about. He should really think about hitting the YouTube comment section to defend himself, too…

For the record every time I see Slowie I’m reminded to use soap and water and make good life decisions, but I find it hilarious DC talks about the insurance issues when LL has been an absolute shit show in the pits with kids ripping 4th pinned and asshats in side x sides and golf carts racing each other.

I usually agree with a lot you say.  I honestly can’t believe you see it this way.

The sport of motocross is under attack. Tracks are closing, insurance is un-obtainable and we have a guy posting videos with a following that he literally knew was full of lies and misinformation that further hurts the sport. Being a real journalist or real in media is to paint the whole picture and report on facts so we the viewer can make our own determination. He’s not media or a journalist. He knows that, we know that. But he is a YouTuber and he should have some sense of responsibility for his content. If he doesn’t, he should now. Actions have consequences.

These videos are only made for shock and awe and really do us, the real lovers of the sport a disservice.  Sure they might be entertaining and fun to see some things but when you cross the line of entertainment while also claiming to be a lover of the sport you should have some integrity, morals and you should at least be correct when you get to a serious topic. I watched his videos for the entertainment. That stuff’s good! But then he started his “whoa me” stuff and that’s pathetic. What does he expect? I watched his video of getting kicked out, for my entertainment.  It was entertaining.  I don’t feel sorry for him or think it was messed up.

With his past attacks on the coverage, promoters and tracks videos and with his track record, for anyone to actually believe he was at the ranch for anything other than to be on the lookout for anything to rip mx sports about is laughable. The guy plays this “I’m just a guy who loves MX” which may be true, but he’s willing to lie for clicks.views and money. There should be reprocussions for such content. Not just being kicked out of the event. The fact he immediately launched a t-shirt… Jesus….  It’s crazy.

He’s not even smart enough to realize a fake Tim Cotter commented in the live feed and he went and made another video showing why he is Slowie. Slowie to be correct. Just like Cooksey posted the flagger not standing in the right spot….  ON THE PARADE LAP.  These guys are so thirsty for clicks they make shit up!

He’s not media, he’s not a journalist, he has no respect and will do whatever and say whatever for personal gain. He’s a YouTuber. Someone who needs attention for money.  That’s the business model.

There is a lot of awesome YouTube content out there and a lot of hard working people doing it. These people are going to ruin it for those people.
