My buddy bought our tickets, I’m renting the cabin. Maybe I came out ahead?? He didn’t spring for the vip, so it’s probably close to a break even.

I went to both redbuds and slipped around in the mud. Sure would be nice if it doesn’t rain this year. Also attended the first Ironman that was a muddy mess, watched many people slide down the big hills, including my wife, girlfriend at the time. Knew she was a keeper after that as she never bitched, and could give two sh… about moto.

See you there!

The weather can be so nice in October in the Midwest. Mother nature has shown us her ass the last two times. We are due for a beautiful Fall 🍁 weekend this time around.

This year diamond VIP prices is what changed our minds to go.for the wife and I $ 5000.00 to exchange to,Canadian something like $ 7500.00

Went to both 2023 and 2024 MXDN and the bill was high but tickets wasn’t half of the cost like this year would be.

We had a house rented by early 2025 as places were filling up fast.some other nice people are staying in it instead.

I had built a power saw to take to this yrs MXDN plus I have a train horn from last yr. Oh well I will just load it all up for Ernee in 2026

While the prices are very steep this year, so many things have doubled or more in price since 2018. Compare the prices of something like milk, eggs, or bread back then to now. Double the cost is significantly higher than just keeping up with inflation, though.

Milk and eggs $2,40 here.

So bike sales are down because they are over 10K. But I have a bike to make memories on.

Some of you think that 2500 per ticket is OK.

Man, I must live in the Twilight Zone.  I think ticket prices and camping prices are just crazy high compared to what Joy I get out of a new bike.

I guess I'm odd man out.

People have literally walked that walk to get into the GNCC for free. Happens every year. Hell ive walked it just getting back to that section of the track.

My biggest complaint about Ironman is you can spend hours out on the road just to get into the facility unless anything has changed in the last couple of years.

I bought the weekend ticket and camping for myself and my daughter.  $1000 for just the basic ticket and available camping.  I went to both at redbud and won't miss one in the US after that.  I would pay double probably just for the experience.

I love the sport - but $140 for one day ticket ....?  x4 for the family  - Is that correct ?

That being said, the money goes towards the band that's playing. If the money actually went to help teams get to the event, and the riders, I'd say that's fair. But I feel like most of it goes to Luongo's pockets.

It would be cool to see a breakdown, of how much of the ticket price goes where, then it would be an easier decision.

As a former touring musician. Very little money from a concert goes to the band. I would say its pretty close to the same percentage that goes to the rider. It's the trickledown effect and it's usually all a percentage. First the venue gets paid, then ticketmaster, then the promotor, then the booking agent, then the label, then the crew, and if there is somehow anything left over. Then the band. Bands used to make their money on selling merch, now the venues and promotors are also taking a percentage of that. Big bands generally get paid from their record labels when they sign the contract. They would never see a time from a concert ticket

Well that kind of sucks. I always felt good buying tshirts at local pub shows though, but I was giving the band the money directly (they were selling between sets), so I knew they were getting all of it 😁

Since it was just after knee replacement and still walking with a cane Red Bud Diamond VIP was a must Besides I knew that viewing area was the best spot. My Only regret is the food was just ok not great. At these prices I expected food to be amazing.

I didn’t know there were so many Vitards were in there!

As soon as I could I splurged and booked a High Point RV spot and Diamond VIP and even a ticket for my wife that never goes to the races so she could sit at the RV with our dog. With family so close in Michigan its going to be a family visit too.

We spent the money at red bud for vip and it was an experience of a life time.  Being ao close to the trophies that we could read them was amazing.  Being able to step into a tent and have free food and drinks worked out awesome.  Spent 2500 per ticket for ironman diamond vip and cant wait.  Bringing my 17 year old son to his 1st mxon and were going all in.
