Bought some pro tapers CR high bend to replace the Renthals that came stock on my 06 CRF450. I guess I just felt like wasting money that day.

However, I was in the store for an hour looking and I just don't get the different bends and what the hell bend I should use or what the hell is the difference. Call me ignorant because I am when it comes to handlebars. Do I get Renthal, Pro-Taper, the crossbar or no crossbar? Does it really freakin matter?

Is a handlebar just a handlebar when comparing the 3 or 4 top major brands? How do you guys decide on the right handlebar because I'm lost when it comes to choosing the right one and what difference it makes between the different brands and bends.

Actually have a pair and ran them for a while on my older bike. However, they just weigh to much. There very heavy. I wish they would get the weight down on them.

I usually can't tell the differance in bend's too much, but I do prefer the crossbar-less Pro Taper's alot more than the Stock Renthal's....( I too wasted some coin and got rid of my perfectly good Stockers)

Whatever handlebars come on a CR500AF are the best ones ever made.

How the heck are you suppose to feel anything with bars that flex. For the last 50 years engineers have worked to get flex out of mx bikes now you sisters want to put flex back in.

I actually I find it hard to believe that you can't tell the difference in the type of bends! I like cr high pro tapper or renthal twin walls! I believe Renthal twin walls are the only fat bar that also have a cross bar, super strong!

I tried the Flexx bars and could never get comfortable with them...went with the TRU MOTO triple clamp with TAG bars

I personally do not like low bars like the RC bend. I like bars that are much like the CR-HI bend. Lately I have the Pro-Taper crossbar Windham bend. I used to run nothing but the Pro-Tapers oversized bars.

When they were out, I really liked the McGrath Renthal bend on my KX250s. Straight, not much rake and height.

I guess like alot of stuff....I'd have to try a couple different bend's to make a choice on which one is best for me. I'd love to go to a track like the pro's do and have someone changing out part's for me to see which one's fit me .[...dreaming]

Nowadays, I look for the tallest, straightest bar I can find. Using a Renthal Fatbar RC-High.

Renthal twin wall Windham bends for me. I like solid-feeling bars, if you want more flex, Pro Taper CR Lows are good.

The best trick to stop hand cramp is to reach over and hit the "caps lock" button.

The best bars for you are the bars you feel most comfortable with. Something like this is a personal preference so you have to try different bars and see witch is best. For me it is the stock bars but some hate them.

I've been reading about the new Easton oversize bars that are coming out. Seems like a cool setup.

From RV..............."RV2 put on a clinic and his wrist greatly benefitted from that extra week off. Remember when I said that his riding style was off in the beginning of the season? He told me that it was indeed off because he was switching bar bends and mounts trying to make it easier on his wrist. He’s back to his normal setting the last few races and, um, I think it shows."

Flexxbars are the best mod you will ever put on your scooter. Infinite adjustments....on both Flexx and sweep. I would not (still) be riding without Flexxbars. Saved my wrists so many times I should just send them a check right nowhttp://www.fasstco.com/products/flexx.shtml

FLEXBARS are without a doubt the best bars out there and I will not moto without them. It’s true what I heard before I rode with mine, “Once you ride with them, you will NOT ride without them.” I’ve ridden two bikes without them and both times the forks felt EXTREMELY harsh. Thanks to Factory Feel for the hookup!

Regarding “extra weight and flex” you have got to be kidding me, it’s like added suspension or a plush revalve. Flex is the right kind of flex--up and down not side to side.
