I don’t think Jett did much Loretta’s or US AM. Overall Jalek had a big amateur career in the states while Jett was still doing things like world minis and training abroad. Jalek still expects to podium.

Yaa I think they give it to whoever wins a certain class, or has the most points out of 2 classes for that award. They don’t give it out from the eye test. I like Jalek and always root for him, I was just thinking that even back then the eye test was saying Jett was going to be goooooddddddddd. And I think Jett was still 15 at Loretta’s that year too racing the A class. He turned 16 and went pro the next week at Unadilla I think.
Hopefully Cochran gets a solid ride next year and gets another shot. The kids got speed and looks like he’d be good on a sx track.
That makes sense because just heavy sand wouldn’t cause as much instability.
People are ragging on the 250’s but none of the locals made the top 20 in qualifying at a bias track and guys like Mosiman stepped it up. Any rider top 10 could top 5 or podium.

Jalek didn’t care if he hurt his foot at the last race. He’s a racer. We haven’t seen Jett look like he has overcome as much adversity but getting hurt or having bad luck is a quick difference between a top 10 and champ.
Im not saying everybody is a “cowboy” but I literally grew up on a horse farm. We had 8 horses and boarded 30. My dad was a nationally known trainer for western pleasure and hunter jumper. I also raced with Aaron’s dad when he would come out to Dirt Country and do some MX.
They say Aaron’s daughter rides horses and they own a couple. That’s enough to wear a cowboy hat legitimately.
Also, sorry to break it to you. You have a hick accent if you live in Cincinnati. I guarantee the rest of the country views you as a hick. I have a PhD, work in big tech, now live in DC, first thing people ask me, “you from Alabama?” Southern Ohio have a hick accent.

Speaking of dancing I have this theory that Jett being a national level dancer when he was back in Australia helped him to learn how to control his body and be aware of his physical positioning helped him on the dirt bike with the whole technique focus these days. Jett used abd controlled muscles as a kid that most dirt bike racers aren’t aware of.
