If they're on two-strokes I'm going with Stew. RC never had to ride a 250 against him. Unpopular opinion, but I think the 259 is the best a 125 and 250 have ever been ridden.

Definitely the best 125 rider ever.

I’m going all in on Carmichael in that scenario.

RC smashes both of them, just like he did to everyone else

RC has no weaknesses outdoors. He has more raw speed than everyone else, better endurance than everyone else, best durability ever, he's an all-time great starter, and his mentality is the best this sport has ever seen.

Jett and James would get some moto wins here and there, but come the end of the season the points wouldn't be close. James would likely injure himself trying to run with RC and I don't think Jett would be willing to accept the risk it would take to regularly run with Carmichael. The current advantage he has on starts would be gone and he's not beating RC straight up very often in a 35 minute moto

Sure did, never missed a race those years. 2005 Stew had to race the 2 stroke against the Suzuki 450. 2006 he was on the 4 speed KX450 that was not a good handler and inferior. 2007 he was hurt.

Don't forget, in SX, JS had the "sprinkler". I loved his celebrations. Nobody beats that!

Might wanna get your memory checked because Stewart was 100% healthy when he raced RC outdoors in 2007. And a partially retired RC still won every overall

RC.  Not even up for debate.

Didn't  he win every outdoor  title he competed in or something  crazy like that.  10 outdoor  titles, 150 wins?

The OP asked a question. I answered like many others here. You take who you want ok? Of the three, I'll take Stewart all day everyday.

Yep, 10 straight titles. Never missed a motocross season in his career and won every one of them

For comparison, Jett has competed in 5 motocross championships and "only" won 3 of them

That's fine, no one said you can't pick him. But you don't get to make shit up about past seasons to justify your selection. A partially retired RC was still beating a healthy Stewart outdoors in 07

Exactly. Until someone even gets a whiff of RC's numbers, it's not even a debate.

2007 was the best RC ever was indoors and out for speed. People always bring up he was partially retired, he has said he trained different and you could see it. His bike was the class of the field as well outside of the Hondas but the Suzukis turned on a dime.

Remember the "Fuel Gate" year in SX when JS got docked points, CR got docked points and RC also got docked 25 points.............but then Roger with Suzukin then lobbied hard and RC was given his points back.

There was also one other rider otu of Florida I believe that was docked, so out of the 4, Only RC got his points back. He won the SX title that year too. By Less than the 25 points he got back.

Roger was able to argue the lead in RC's fuel came from the gas can, remember?  Crazy times for sure

JS and JL have a "reputation" and "style" to "protect"... RC gave no fu-ks. He just twisted it farther and held on.

Bubba was Crash or Win for years, he was willing to die for those wins too lol

Problem is your "opinion" doesn't and didn't hold up to the reality of what happened.

RC beat the brakes off of James in everything more or less. Supercross James had a bit more talent then Rc but that led to lots of crashes

Outdoors put them on the same bike and its still Rc. He was retiring with a money deal to go race car after he finishe his abbreviated outdoors season in 07. He honestcouldnt afford to get hurt it would have messed up his car deal which was his new focus. Slowed down his training in the summer and still went 5/5 FOR FUN.

I clearly remember it better than you because neither Reed nor Stewart had points deducted, lol. It sounds like you really don't know as much about that era as you claim

I also don't know what any of your comment has to do with RC winning 10 MOTOCROSS titles in a row

This is an impossible comparison right now; we haven’t seen JL18 @ his prime.  We HAVE seen RC4 and JS7 @ their prime.

It’d be like comparing 3 different bourbons.  2 are finely aged and 1 isn’t.  Would it be a fair comparison?

Even with that said, though, I’m picking JL18.

K-dub was a fantastic rider, similar in style to Jett, and he beat RC about once a year outdoors.  Jett too is incredible, but against Ricky, well he would not be driving a Roller, maybe an Impala.

Seems like Stewart is always talked about. RV doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. That dude was wicked fast ask the Dunge.

Realistically Stewart and RC brains would have turned to mush trying to contemplate what Jett was even doing to them with his race craft.

The same was said when Rc kicked everts ass on a 250 2 stroke against the pig. Wasn’t even close

Oh yeah in the sand in his backyard….. RC wouldn’t have got passed like Jett did in MXON

Seen them all in their prime, it's impossible to compare in fairly, the sport has evolved if we go pure speed Jett who I believe is the best rider to ride a MX bike so yea he would win, also RV in my opinion was a faster rider outdoors than RC and JS was.

RC and James showed the next generation what was possible they lifted the bar it's only natural for the next to come after them to be good or better.

RC. And I don’t think it’s close. The other two might get a couple moto wins here and there, but RC could not be fucked with in MX. 10 straight MX titles, never lost a MX championship, whooped Everts’ ass on a 250 two stroke… the list goes on and on. He was a psycho.

So you believe then that after RC retired, Reed found an extra gear outdoors and was going faster than what RC was going when they were racing each other? Because he was beating RV and Dung regularly, outdoors, in 2011, till the chadapult. Was leading the points till Millville if I remember correctly.

And if you do believe Reed found some extra gear, 4 years later after RC retired, do you believe that RC wouldn't have been also able to find that gear?

Damn, that's nuts. I found a similar one with Jett from 2023, but that was only in session one. 1000040831

Another one but also not combined

1000040833

The only other time I remember someone qualifying with 3 seconds or more over the last years was Kenny at Unadilla I think.
