Shame there's no Conrad Mewes or Jamie Keith but at least there's no rain forecast. In fact it's going to be very hot & dry.
Or Hayden Statt in tne 125’s. I don’t know half the brits that are lining up in EMX250 class.
I remember when the EMX classes used have 100 riders entered. How times have changed and especially at a track like Matterly.
Why isn't Conrad riding? And what happened to him doing some AMA races?
First AMA race he's due to do is Southwick.

Thank God we have a race to follow this weekend.
Based on his last Instagram post, no Southwick either
Looking forward to this race, love this track. I got to go to Nations last year with my 17 year old. Fantastic track and great for spectators. We were the only American fans we saw fully decked out in ridiculous outfits, so a lot of people came by and wanted pictures with us, which I was not expecting. At least 15 people each day, haha. A lot fewer Americans at 2024 Nations than I expected
Its a nice area too, we actually ate some pretty good Mexican food down in Southhampton. Could not get my wife to try the blood pudding though, lol
Seeing Tomac "come off the couch" (after only a few weeks back on the bike) to pull a hole shot in moto 3 was pretty sweet. He rode so well, just needed a little more from AP. Webb P9 in moto 2 was about all anyone could have expected.
Hopefully no big get offs this weekend, the speeds on this track compared to Germany and Latvia will be a LOT faster, especially if its dry as predicted.
I'm buzzing for it. Both classes are equally intriguing.
I think de Wolf will be closer to his normal self after a weekend off. I'm hoping Sacha carries some momentum from Kegums into this one, I really wanna see that dude at full speed. Hopefully Liam gets a bit closer to the front too. It's mad but his form was better when he wasn't fully fit at the beginning of the year. Lata too has been riding really good (Kegums aside), so would be cool to see him take another step forward.
As far as the 450s go, Lucas winning would be awesome to witness, but I'd also happily take a dominant Herlings GP. Could be the last time we see him ride a GP at Matterly, who knows what he'll do in 26.
Yeah bring it on, I'm all in!
Oh and if AC222 holeshots a moto I'll be smiling from ear to ear!
Längenfelder with a 27 pt lead heading to his best track on the circuit. He's taking charge of this championship
I think Lucas gonna do well this weekend, he was very fast at MXDN on the small bike and was closing in fast on Prado and Tomac when he crashed and broke his collarbone. He would probably passed both of them if…
I spoke with Ryan Thorpe at Blaxhall, and he said that while Conrad was in good riding form , he was still not fully over his wrist injury that kept him off the bike between rounds 1 & 2 .
And as a result , he knows he isnt up to a full GP weekend, with 2 long sessions on Saturday, and a race, and warm up and 2 races on sunday.
Fortunatly for us in the UK, we will get to see him race Jeffrey Herlings at the Monster Mountain Midweek series that starts the Wednesday after Matterly GP, and also at the next British Round at Preston Docks, where Conrad beat Jeffrey last year.
While its truly a pisser he isnt there, he isnt a guy who will go to the gate knowing he cant do the job justice, and i get that he needs to do that.
Bucket list track to ride , and attend a GP for sure.
So no Mewse, Gilbert, Toendel and Guadagnini in the MXGP¨class.
tommy searle and billy bolt joked on a recent podcast ep they would enter the emx but i dont see their names there
bummer
They’re too old for the emx classes 😄
Well, back in 2022, the rules were changed to a maximum age of 21 for EMX250 - whereas prior to that, I think there was a higher age limit, if one at all.
So, I'd say Both those blokes are just a bit too old for the class. Typical riders, not knowing the rules........😁
Pit Row
Should be a hot one too, weather forecast is really good for the UK this weekend. Hopefully encourages a good sized crowd to turn out and support it.
Hot? 😉 Hangtown 2025 just took its shirt off! Nah, just kidding. I know 80 and humid feels pretty warm when you are not used to it.
I hope they don't rip the track deep and over water it in preparation for the warmer weather.
As Australians would say, it's gonna be as dry as a dead dingo's donger.
😀As you do allude to, this is the UK, anything above 70f is a scorcher.
To be fair there is no shade to be had at Matterley. No escape. There'll be some red backs staggering around.
I'm not even in the South and I'm boiling my tits off. I'm less worried about the riders and more worried about the spectators 😅
Yeah, it's going to be brutal down there watching tomorrow.
Matterley is definitely one of those tracks which ticks the Motocross heaven box.
Looks prime.
