Need a front tire for rocky terrain, suggestions

Been using a Michelin Starcross 5. Just seeing what might be a alternative.

If you’re willing to give up some handling, the Goldentyre Fatty 90/100-21 can’t be beat in the rocks. Feels like a fork revalve. Make sure to slide the forks up a little to compensate for the extra height.

Bridgestone x31 or m59, excellent grip in dry, rocky, and loose over hard pack

Shinko 216 Fatty with UHD tube running about 10 psi.  Run that on my Beta 300 RX and it does pretty good.  Side knobs hold up good to.  Starcross 5 Soft/Med was my fav tire.  Starcross 6 is garbage.  The 216 has been the one I've had the best results with so far.  I'm gonna try an AT 82 next.

Currently I'm running a tusk recon front fatty, I've had one hare scramble on it and liked it much better than a regular MX tire on the rocks.

I don't think this tire can be beat for the price.

I've been running the Mitas C-19 Superlight 90/100 for years. Really good in rocky terrain and has a four ply sidewall so when you hit a square edge you're not going to flat. It has been phased out and is replaced by the Mitas TERRA FORCE-EF.
