To prove he's #1 ?
2006 = Everts
2007 Villopotto
2008 Mixed results but not Cairoli
2009 in Italy = Dungey
At this rate even if Cairoli wins two moto's in Colorado we can say it was a fluke.
All the greats got it done over and over not after 5-6 tries.
Team USA is racing for the Championship if we get worked we were merely mirroring the current and former World champ right ?
Nahhh Dungey , Canard and Short will all win Moto's count on it.

Are these not recent greats??
i would like to add that Everts, RC, Bubba, and Showtime would wax the floor with Cairoli. Hell he would have a hard time taking a title over Reed.

If 2008 was "mixed results" ( Sebastion Pourcel went 2,1 in MX1), then 2009 was a mixed result as well. Dungey was only 3,1.
Biased, lame post from 500Grump.
I'm sure most of you won't actually understand what I've said and will just think I'm knocking Everts but what I'm trying to say is Cairoli is easily one of the fastest people ever to ride a 4 stroke motorcross bike and I do hope he does well at the MXdN. Actually I hope he wins it, just to shut up all the people he keep knocking him and not reaslising the guy has alot of talent.
AC's still young but!
but still a biiiggg stretch.
Bring on the des Nations!!!!
All this bashing is plain stupid.
Once again, it's easy to throw stones, yet most are hearing it all 2nd hand anyways.
Shoot, even Ping himself apologized, Bravo to David.
As far as racers and Champions go, I'm impressed!
I look at the rider himself.
I could care less where he's from.
Talents talent.
That's what I see and like.
All our guys over the many years have gotten better because of riders like him.
Sure, SX here has helped us tons, but guys and talents like TC came 1st.
School's in session for the masses throughout Europe thanks to him and some others like him following his lead. To that I say IMPRESSIVE!
He just may be Europe's answer to our James Stewart.
For me, that deserves respect!!!!!!!
People who "Boo" are lame.
Dave O.
Based on his GP career..no!
However...I think Dungey can putan an ass whippin on him this year!
Pit Row
And I wouldn't measure TC by his result at Lakewood.
The dude is a proven commodity and the des Nations is a proven "one off"
2007 = Bad preperation/luck/weekend + granted, Villopoto was unstoppable.
2008 = Didn't race (knee surgery).
2009 = One moto win.
I've a feeling Cairoli will be super motivated after his misfortune last year.
"2006 = One moto win. ON A SMALLER BIKE (1st ever to accomplish that, yep, before Villopoto)
2007 = Bad preperation/luck/weekend + granted, Villopoto was unstoppable. TRUE
2008 = Didn't race (knee surgery).
2009 = One moto win." + CLEARLY DOMINATED QUALIFICATIONS (AND DUNGEY) THE DAY BEFORE BUT WAS ON HOME SOIL, ALTHOUGH UNKNOWN TRACK / PILE-UP AT THE START OF MOTO 2- CAN'T JUDGE THAT
2010 = DUNGEY'sTURN TO BE ON HOME SOIL (ON A FAMILIAR TRACK) - INTERESTING BATTLE FOR SURE.
I'm very surprised there was no mention of a KTM350 in this thread to be honest.
Dumb thread.
Winning an individual world championship proves who the best is and Tony has four of them...Tony won the other moto in 2006 on a 250f.. he was the first guy to ever do that btw...
2007 .. broken wheels.. still had a faster time than RC
2008... injured
2009... fastest and beat Reed and Dungey in the qualifier and first moto but taken out in the first turn in the last moto... due to taking a middle gate for his team.. not his fault.
You realise Bubba has never won his class at the MXDN.... RC didn't win his class until his fourth attempt... MXDN is different especially if you race for a country that doesn't usually win the thing.. Cairoli is equal or has more wins than DeCoster in GPs.. and you all talk about how he is the man... so give AC some respect.. Tony also has more World title than Everts had at the same age...the guy is a legend.
What an agenda.
What a moron.
Your hate for KTM's and the whole GP series is getting fucking old kid. You use have have some good shit to say. What happened???
one thing is for sure there's a bunch of pussies in Moto and some of them posted in this thread.
Post a reply to: How Many MXoN chances does Cairoli Get?
