The amount of disrespect people have calling Chase a quitter is unbelievable, how many times has this guy had crashes that would put most of us in the hospital for a month only to get back on the bike and finish out the event?  People can pick apart the crash all they want but just coming out of left field and claiming someone is a quitter with zero evidence to back it up is next level idiocy.

lol why? You do know that all sports have speculation? All sports have guys that quit on their teams. You think moto is any different? You talk about having facts but no one in here has facts on how Chase truly feels about KTM. What if something happened behind the scenes that pissed Chase off? No one really knows. Some of you act like these dudes are your best friends and saying he quit is idiotic. Is it popular? no. Is it possible? yes. Funny how an alternate opinion from the masses must mean its "idiotic"

I'm sorry, for some reason I was under the impression that if you were going to attack someone's character that you should have some kind of basis for it.  What you and a few others are insinuating is that Chase cares so little for the people around him that he's willing to screw over his team and all of the people that make his program happen (mechanics, truck drivers, engine builders, sponsors, etc) because of some imaginary beef he has with KTM management, that's a pretty damning accusation to make and I don't think I'm on my own island thinking that it's a little out of line for some jackoff on the internet to spout that out without any reasoning behind it.  You're definitely entitled to your opinion but I'm also entitled to tell you how stupid it is.

i am of the belief that Sexton just quit on KTM. I said in another thread that Jett and Eli have him beat mentally. Facts are.. hes never been the fastest guy in a full field. The fastest have all crashed all the way back to Forkner.

Chase will never beat Jett straight up for a title. Sorry to say it. There are plenty of them throughout history that never beat the current "dude". Look at all the title would have's had it not been for RC.

This isnt some Chase bashing reply either. The dude is amazing. But so was CR when he was on. Some guys just have to deal with generational talents and thats where Chase is right now

How do you get "not the fastest" from a season of nonstop fastest qualifier, fastest lap, and most race wins? His SX championship year you can absolutely make the case that he just threw it away too much to beat Eli/Coop for points before the injuries, but he was definitely the fastest guy that year. And arguably the fastest this SX season, just threw it away too many times, once again .

Are you talking about this year where he had all of those fastest qualy's? This year? Where Jett, Hunter and Eli weren't there? Yea i would put this year into that category.

I specifically mentioned his championship year for that. But who won A1 with everyone on the gate this year? Also, including Hunter in that group, it's obvious you're just trolling for reactions.

per himself he has no injuries other than soreness and bruising. Idc the glazing here is ridiculous that is absolutely quitting, how many others have mentioned some of the crazy injuries riders have roughed out. He not only quit moto one but he quit moto two and now he’s quitting hangtown over soreness. Give me a break

I just read an interview this morning about Chase saying "throw the kitchen sink" at his bike because he's so uncomfortable. Let say Chase is that unhappy. Trying to run the pace of Jett and Eli on a bike you hate, Crashing trying to run the pace. You don't think he could be of the mindset "im going to kill myself trying to run with these guys. Fuck this bike and KTM" In the past guys haven't quit a season to get to their next contract? Never happened huh? Never been a mysterious injury to pull out for outdoors eh? I guess Chase is immune because "how dare you attack my best friends character"

Yep, the idiocy continues...  I mean, the quitter wouldn't make more races than anyone else, right?  He didn't quit...  He didn't know the extent of his potential injury.  Turns out it wasn't that bad, but bad enough to miss the next race...  He'll be back.

your taking a specific yr date to go in his favor which is still great but anybody can pull stats for tht tho , just look at lebron fans & look how they like to throw a whole bunch of stats in ur face , u  gotta do his whole career & really this list shows how durable bam bam is tht he’s only 15 starts down from chase from this Covid time period & bam’s rookie yr in 450s was back in ‘13

What? He went 450 in 2020. That is the stat pull. Since he entered the class, he has been the most durable

It looks like Sexton is on the pre-entry list for Thunder Valley.

If he pulls the bs he’s pulled that last few rounds, I think KTM should yank his salary. Just my opinion

Unfortunately Chase has kind of put himself in a position to speculate and believe he has given up with the KTM.

If the guy had ever said he liked a bike of any sort he was riding, people wouldn't think this. But even though chase has shown resilience over the years. He has also talked shit about every bike he rides. Remember that interview he did last year.

It goes both ways. Some will remember and favor the resilience. Some will remember and favor the constant shit talking of brands.

These are basically the two arguments giving peoples speculation of what's happening. Both have evidence.

He's a modern Reed. Although Reed at least said he liked his '11-12 Honda's. Sorry but unless he's some kind of revelation on the Kawi and it's like, oh this what what he's been looking for, then it's all on him. He looks great on the KTM. He looked great on the Honda. Obviously mixed it with all the mistakes but does anyone think at this point the mistakes are on the bike? AP's bike looked phenomenal at Hangtown

I don’t think Sexton and Reed compare.
Chad was always wanting improvements whether the bike was already good or not, and he knew where and how to find those changes.
Whereas I suspect Chase may just not be good at setting a bike up to start with.

Anything “official” about his condition or likely return?

Math is hard sometimes.

If I knock you down, and you're now on the ground, how many times do you need to get back up?

I've never heard of a "saying." I had nooooooo idea what the point was. All sayings are equally good, clever, and valid. That's why I'm so tough that when I get knocked down 8 times, I get up TEN! Cuz I'm tuffer'n you!

I bet you say "comfortability" a lot.

No disrespect intended, Chase is one of the best in the world at a very small niche sport. He seems to often times make mental errors, and with the display of having his KTM hat backwards, a penchant for childish behavíor. I believe these things to be inarguable. The fact these exist seems to point he may very well be sitting out uninjured, we will never know. And yet, given KTM's recent financial dumpster fire, I don't blame him for getting a different job. I would not trust KTM and their situation either.

I always think to myself when factory riders bitch about their bikes, the bikes are bad compared to what? They aren't allowed to ride other brands, supposedly they are spending every waking hour training, testing, and traveling anyway, and them helping set up the bike is part of their job. They are the one testing the bike.

Youre barking up the wrong tree. I think you really went the whole nine yards with this take. Thanks for bringing up the elephant in the room and pointing out the stupidity of this saying! I was hoping somebody would spill the beans on this whole mess. Im glad youre around to keep everybody on thin ice.

Everyone else's understanding of the English language here ain't gonna cut the mustard.
