His assessment of how Jett was disciplined with throttle control in that section after the finish line was perfect. You could see and hear exactly what was being analyzed.

Something along the lines of “you hear how quiet that bike is, Kids!? That’s patience!”

Crushed it.

James is a godsend in the booth.

He's clear, creative, articulate, clearly intelligent and able to get his point across on the fly.

I could go on but he is really engaging and has you pay attention to the fine details.

Edit:  And of course Weege has been close to faultless for years now which deserves it's own recognition.

I literally laughed out loud when James made the Bigfoot comment about Eli. 🤣

I will say, both Weege and James seem more comfortable in motocross than Supercross. In Supercross, it seems like there HAS to be action, a story, drama etc. In Motocross, it is so much more chill, which I think suits James and Weege only turns it up when he has to. Also, James does offer some pretty interesting insights compared to other colour commentators (e.g. Emig, Langston), especially when it comes to making up time, splits analysis and overall technique. Hopefully they keep a consistent team in the booth.

Weege and JS in the booth is truly a blessing.

The 2 best duo's in the sport are undoubtedly Paul and Jason (when JT is over) in the GP's, and Weege and James in AMA.

James is amazing imo. Colour commentary/technical analysis IS a skill, as is Weege's play-by-play (Weege isn't devoid of technical information himself either). It's something I'm sure we all imagine we could do but a damn sight harder in reality - we can see that via the many different people that have tried their hand it over the yrs. I really believe James has discovered his 2nd calling in life... He's informative, interesting and most importantly entertaining. His eye for picking up on and delivering little unique tit-bits of information (informed by decades of personal experience) is second to none.

Far better than the over animated mouthpieces we have to endure during the SX series.

Did I miss something?  I don’t really “listen” or pay attention to what the “announcers” are saying as I mentally block them out. I thought it was Weege and James announcing. Weege isn’t a professional racer. Who is the second pro you’re referencing?  Regardless, give me Paul Malin any day and I pay attention to what is being announced. Malin is perfection personified as an announcer.

James is great, but unfortunately he did throw in a “clean air” comment.    Too much SX time in the booth with RC?

It is pretty bad when two announcers with virtually no original designs to be professional announcers embarrass the abilities and output of the SX announcing crew.

James is the best we have ever had in the booth as far. In my opinion better than Emig, GL, DB, RC and the rest. His analysis is really good. He continues to improve and the more he does it the better he is. You can actually learn race craft from him. To top it off, he's humble. Stark contrast from the redhead.

Where do we sign the petition for full time JS7?

JS is great, I don’t think he wants to do them all though from memory.. I wonder what series he’d prefer to do given the choice.

Paul Malin is great at calling action with excitement. I like Weege as well. James gives you insight from one of the best to ever do it. What’s most impressing to me is that James is super talented on a bike but you can tell he’s a student and fan of the sport. They are all different and all good in their own way. Just my opinion.

Meh I think they’re too busy navigating RC’s rickyisms.. They’d be better just with the 2 of them for SX I’m sure.

I’ve always thought James was the best in the booth. I think it’s just his voice and how smooth he talks that appeals to me. Weege was good as well. Pro motocross is better to watch on tv than supercross in my opinion.

Was great in the booth.  Also, so nice having sideline reporters who were brief and to point.

Best broadcast in a long time.

Now if they could only find a competent producer.

Announcers: 'we've been waiting 3yrs for this battle - we finally have it'

Producer: 'lets go split screen to 3rd and 4th place'

Hayley also deserves some praise, she is just really good.

I'm sorry, but if JS is monotone, than what is Bailey? His "wait, what?" at Budds Creek in 2003 had as much enthusiasm as me telling the waitress I'm ready for the check after a mediocre dinner.

I like Stew's free riding tips during the broadcast. Sometimes, they are brilliant!
That's a value no one else can match.

I remember in one of the TGO vids J-Bone said James went to the Kawi headquarters and took all the DVD's and VHS tapes they had of old races. Ive seen him say on his podcast, in his retirement, hes never missed a race. All the GP's, too. Definitely s student of the sport

I’d love to tell you guys how awesome JS was in the booth yesterday but I don’t want to drive a wedge in his friendship with RC.

It was probably mostly unnoticed, I happen to be taking a video of the kids and in the background heard an F bomb over the pa, Nothing unusual about hearing that word, buts it’s not usually over the loudspeakers haha lol.  (Before someone calls me Karen, No we weren’t upset, yes we thought it was funny) 😄

Anyone who says Stew is not one of the best MX announcers has to be deaf. The guy knows what to say and most importantly...when to say it. He is not all over the map with commentary. He is really good. EXCELLENT job...10/10.

My wife walked into the room and said , "Oh thank God it's  not RC, I think Stewart is so much better"

She's correct

Not only is Bubba very insightful and good to listen too in the booth, most motos I laugh out loud at some of his quick witted comments, that’s  incredibly rare to find from a commentator but definitely welcomed!

it's soooooooooooo refreshing. Weege/JS sound like 2 guys bench racing on the couch. It's natural and easy and relevant. Weege sets JS up with great questions, and JS knows when to shut up and let Weege do his thing. JS doesn't randomly yell "OOOOOOOOH!!!!" like RC does 4 times a moto, and it's just overwhelmingly more natural and enjoyable.

Kudos.
