Also, if we’re being blunt, your contention that it “could save lives” is tenuous at best.

How many people die each year from MX related injuries?  A handful?  Believe me that’s not even close to being enough to justify the effort and money to bring a product to market.  Not because those lives are worth saving but because for the vast majority of people the perceived risk is far too remote.

That’s the reality of “safety” related innovations and inventions.

Without knowing what the item is and how it works , I think that is a bit harsh to say.  Every helmet could save Your life. Its not the only thing it will do in a crash.

The pads and chest protector, knee brace area of catalogs has been one of the sections that keeps growing each year so I would say there is a growing market for items in that segment. If it can crossover to MTB stuff even more so.

Who better to provide scientifically sound, objective feedback than the legions of body protection experts at VitalMX?

Yeah it’s a electronic tether cord activated an air bubble. 1st you pay for the system then you get a code after your etccab is delivered to your door step. Once you read over the 82 page disclaimer and warnings, statements of the co not being liable for any injuries accurring while wearing the bubble, etc. you pay a 1 time fee of 39.95 to get access to the etccab app. Uploading is an easy 42 step program.  How it works is once you r rejected from your high powered motorcycle. The tether cord unplugs from your bike & the pneumatic 220 psi air bubble is inflated in .000001 second.  Safety set #2 is a straw bail. We ship it to your front door. Just break it open & secure a slice to the top of your helmet, front & back of the new & improved safety shield- chest protector. Tie wraps not included.

If I was an investor and was approached about a "million dollar idea - saving lives" my response would be - show me the data:

- how many lives are currently being lost?

- how does this idea prevent those lives being lost?

Now if you said reducing injuries that's something that is much more likely to get traction.  You can't save lives that aren't already being lost.  Forgive me for being a bit harsh but it's an emotive argument that I've seen used far too often (not in dirtbike circles).

"That, as we enjoy great advantages from the inventions of others, we should be glad of an opportunity to serve others by any invention of ours; and this we should do freely and generously."

Ben Franklin

Guess you have to spill the beans, now. Lol

I thought I would give an update on my progress so far. Kinda sad, but the companies that I have connected are not interested in saving more spines or necks. Wrong place, wrong time I guess. Tracks are closing, bike prices are crazy, no more Bubba and Crusty Demons.

I wanna give it one more try. Could anyone send me some recommendations who to contact? All I am asking for is a motocross industry job in the USA with visa support.

These companies are seem to be not interested.:
Atlas - at least they have replied
6D - at least they have replied
EVS
Alpinestars
Leatt

"These companies are not interested in saving spines or necks" is quite the statement. How about you post your "million dollar idea" here so we can all see why no one is interested in it. I don't imagine you need to worry about anyone stealing it...

It might be a million dollar idea but it costs 3 million to produce.

Yeh? Well, that just like your opinion, man.

I have not presented the idea itself yet, so they are not interested in hearing it. Thats a big difference dude

Is the goal saving spines or providing you with a job you approve of?

If you haven't shared the idea, you can't really expect them to offer a job or visa support can you?

If you want to truly get your idea produced, you need to work with a patent expert and patent your idea, then look at selling or licensing it to the manufacturers of safety products.  Of course these companies want to make money on the items they are selling, they are businesses.  Just like you want to be compensated for your idea, correct?

If you want to apply your thoughts equally, then one could say that you must not care about these injuries if you are not sharing your idea with these companies without expecting to be compensated for it.

If your idea is solid, and a completely different take on designing safety gear, you will be recognized for it. None of those major manufactures of that equipment are going to be the type to steal/borrow/mis-represent in an effort to get ahead.
I suggest you have somebody else make contact for you. You appear too close to your idea, and might come off as overly defensive/protective of your concept. Having someone else make contact puts a buffer in place.
Based on what little info you provided, if you are presenting your concept only if other guarantees are offered/given, little surprise no one is interested.

If it is indeed a unique answer to injuries as you state, why not tell us what it is. I imagine you could already prove just how long you have had the concept.
Additionally, there may be a member here so inspired by your concept, that they are willing to back you and manufacture it!

Just my opinion.

Ryan Hughes of Ryno Power might be an interesting person to talk to about your product idea.
