If you are a strange bird like I suggest CP is, you will probably make a greater mark in history than if you are the mainstream guy (xxx xxx) that is liked by everyone?
CP obviously like Stew has his hardcore fans (cough, cough) that maybe is enough, but in general, what's the best strategy in life you think? Do your own thing, or adapt?
Stew has got some serious shit lately, and partly justified because of the cognitive dissonance (he doesn't walk the talk) I think, but we just want him to ride (the real mx fan wants that at least). CP on the other hand is riding everything from SX, MX to the mxDn. He's kind to the fans, and give props to his no 1 enemy on the track. He doesn't ride dirty and hasn't said anything negative about America or Americans.
1. What would make you to like him more. What can you demand from him that is realistic, and if he did that, would you honestly like him?
2. Do you really want him to change? Some people like to dislike some.<
3. Isn't it better for him to continue this strange bird thing? He will maybe make a bigger impact (when we talke about Hannah, Magoo etc seems it was because the where more of characters)?
Personally I hope his parent's gave him enough self esteem to ride this out and give the boo birds the bird. But I can't blame him if he adapts...

His sheer skill on the bike is second to none in my opinion. He rides so deliberately that it's almost sickening at times.
I really hope he pulls it off this weekend, he deserves this championship. Nobody really knows what he is up against physically, if it's even as close to as bad as the rumors say then he deserves respect for even trying to line up. Seriously stop and think about it, if he can't even sweat and he's competing week in and week out with guys who work with olympic class trainers...
Good luck CP! (but if Canard pulls it out he deserves it just as much)
Maybe some people don't like him because he's from France
Maybe some people don't like him because they can't figure him out.
Who knows...
I see a picture with a large groups of grow up men (with kid brains) booing this kid because whatever. I just wonder what strategy would be the best for CP (we don't know how his feelings about this and how he handle his, hopefully this is not a factor for him while racing against TC).
Maybe he's laughing? Bu I know I would be a bit bummed and I'm almost 40 and have kind of learned to eat shit after some decades...

Well, Pourcel is a winner in the end, so I guess he will manage all this. And again, despite all the booing he would probably attract more ladies than we can pull togheter, and all those ladies "belonging" to the boo-birds as well (hmm, maybe that's the reason?)
Compare his ways from the past to how he is now and you can see change, i say he is adapting and trying to become one of "the good guys" like Canard. It has nothing to do with where he was born IMO..
See I have always respected and admired his riding ability, but thought he was stuck up for thinking he was the champion last year instead of Dungey. But now I understand where he is coming from.
He said that he feels like he NEEDS to beet Canard this weekend in order to feel like the champion. Last year, he was the faster rider and he considers himself the better rider from last year against Dungey. If he wins this championship by 1 point having lost to Canard again, he won't feel like a real champion. I admire that desire to be the unequivocal champion, leave no doubt.
Raddad: you could be right about this smack talk thing. I haven't payed any attention to that before. People with that attitude usually grow up. Maybe this is what happening right now? I only hope that he in the end gets credit for his effort in the change to a more humble person...
I guess if this continues, he will win people over. I notice a huge change here on Vital towards his persona. Fewer people on that dislike bandwagon no doubt, and at the same time CP shows emotions, and is being honest, giving cred. He even cut his hair!
Well. I'm sure this will play out well in the end (partly meaning Trey and his fans will be a bit sad though)!
Here's two for ya!
Pit Row
If not, Canard will be a perfect 250 Champion.
And thanks, both of you guys, for giving us much excitement up to the end!
GO TREY!
