I don’t think this has really had the kind of impact that Mirtl hoped it would have. Most people understand that kids say and do stupid things, so an adult using a clip like this of a kid to try and frame them in a certain way just isn’t a very good look IMO. Of course it is stupid for Jett to say such things, but there wasn’t any malice behind it, to me it wasn’t egregious
The only people keeping this situation in the public eye are Mirtl and Cooksey, if they stopped talking about it, so would everyone else. If you’ve truly done nothing wrong, prove that in court and stop making yourself look silly
I can sadly confirm it was used at my school in Queensland, although we didn’t really know what it meant. Just that it was American slang, so we thought it had something to do with Racoons. Alas ignorance is no excuse.

I went to school in qld in the mid 90’s and it was said without any racist intent…..why, because NWA were one of the most popular bands at the time, people wore their shirts, hats. And in every second sentence of their songs, what word did they use? Most of the black kids called themselves n words with pride….it is what it is.
