Did about 60 laps on the Intermediate track at Pax last Thursday which was about 25 miles according to my Garmin. I knew I needed an oil change afterwards, but I still rode last Saturday. We did a group trail ride showing people in our club the new trail we made. Bad decision, the ride was disgustingly slow with lots of stop and go so I heated up the clutch pretty good. Dumped the oil and it smells like new clutch plates are in my future. In a former life I was a Harley Master Tech and my garage smells just like the Harley shop when we would have a cop rodeo.
Sometimes you are smart enough to know better but dumb enough to not do what you know you should do.
I'd just put it in neutral and wait for them to pull away a bit, then catch-up and repeat.
Just like cracking the diff cover off on my first truck. I swear I can still smell that diff fluid under my finger nails.
That stuff has to be one of the nastiest smells ever. I have a similar memory.
The other for me is ATF. I tried a shift kit install that took me all day crawling under the truck, pan off, pan on, back off…by the time I was done I was soaked in ATF and dizzy from being on the creeper. If I even get a whiff of ATF I want to hurl.
Somehow I always get ATF in my hair, takes several showers before I can't smell it anymore.

For me it's cutting oil and carb dip. Can't get it off me.
"It's the smell of love baby"
Burnt anti-freeze.
When I was 16 I got stuck on the side of the road overheating 3 times. I learned that it's a good idea to go ahead and replace the thermostat, water pump, and radiator all at once instead of one by one.
Gear lube soup. There's no other smell like it!
That smell is the worst part of owning a moto van, the ride home is terrible.
Bahahahahahahaja, dig your style of humor
Nothin like a dutch oven.
If you have sprayed a good amount of paint in your life, you'll understand. Nothing smells worse, or fucks up your lungs worse than Imron. Even with excellent filtration, fresh air hood, spray booth, etc, just a whiff of that shit makes me cough for days. Being raised in our family paint shop, I dreaded painting industrial equipment with it. Stunk up the whole building to no end. I refuse to use it no matter what anymore....
