Whoops before the jumps.
At the end of the whoops section, the track map doesnt show the on/off tabletop going into the split-lane lefthander--- also in that split-lane section, on the inside line the map shows a little kicker before the bigger jump, the actual track had more a "wall" type deal. Probably changed to the "wall" after seeing that the 'inside-outside' was markedly faster than the 'outside-inside' option and tried to slow that down . Also on turn 3 (right hander after the second rhythm section) the map doesn't show the little launch ramp on the very outside of the turn that started your combos different. Although the pic of the track doesn't show that very clearly either --but it definitely was there --found out they called that the "excitebike" line 🙄

If they are going to make whoops basically jumpers then screw SX and let’s just do outdoors. Whoops are SX. One of the biggest reason MXGP riders have a hard time coming over and doing great right off. 9 built so they end up jumpers is BS. It’s a three jump rhythm section that is sharp and adds bad injury risk. Many more injuries that more properly built/maintained whoops or even the dreaded dragon’s back.

Well only a few riders now can hit legit whoops at speed and seems they made them jumpers the last round and now this one to favor a certain rider.
Someone pointed this out earlier this year. It's a conspiracy to keep Malcolm from ever winning again!!

Gnarly whoops are a thing of the past it seems. Still, the pressure is off of Webb, Sexton will go 1-1 with big leads and Webb will cruise on in to the title...

If any major sports league had this much interference on the actual play of the game from the TV side and promoters there would be nonstop coverage of it and a total revolt from fans and players. This amateur hour sport just goes along with it all as long as NBC and feld keeps feeding them the leftovers. Sooner or later feld is going to realize that if the AMA just does everything they tell them to do anyway that they really serve no purpose and feld could run the show without them. If it's just a TV show anyway they might as well.
If you mean track layout well the difference is that dirt is meant to be a variable surface and the track is not fixed in dimensions and layout like a baseball or football field.
They're making changes to the layout that seem to be for the sole purpose of preventing riders from coming into the whoops with the kind of speed that makes blitzing advantageous. They're doing things to manipulate the play of the actual game in ways that favors some and hurts others. That is a line that a broadcast partner should not be able to cross.

Baseball doesn’t use set dimensions other than the diamond and where the mound is. The Astros stadium is 409 feet from home plate to over center field fence. Fenway is 310.
Last week there was supposed to be the 3 on off before the whoops & they flipped it around. put the whoops literally coming right out of the corner.
Denver, supposed to have a little rhythm into the whoops but they once again flip flopped & are putting the whoops right out of the flat turn.
It makes it so you can't enter the whoops with any sort of speed (CS4's strength) & you enter them super slow, which makes them jumpers (CW2's strength).
What is ironic is when webb rode for KTM decoster was out there crying about knocking the whoops down for webb, happened all the time. Now where's decoster advocating for chase?????
100% a lower speed into these whoops and a bit of an angle. I believe they will be jumpers. Regardless not fast enough to give Sexton too much of an edge blitzing. But after seeing CS last week in the turns , I think with the less traction webb has no chance this weekend

If y’all are upset about the arrangement of the whoops you haven’t been paying attention. They have been rearranging whoops behind jumps since Tampa and they were very clear about that change.
Seattle was wayyy different from the track map because they had less time to build the track before the rain came in. Go check that one out if you’re upset about a set of whoops being moved.
Preparing for rain is wayyy different than just making changes for the fuck of it, eh?
I don't think there's some conspiracy to screw chase. I think they're making these changes due to misguided beliefs on injuries and don't care that it screws some guys and takes something away from the sport. Either way it sucks.
I fully understand the need to change layout for weather. Just pointing out that track was changed drastically compared to swapping whoops/jumps that they have been doing since Tampa.
I chose my seats in Seattle based on the track map and wasn’t upset with the change. I was just glad the Dirt Wurx guys busted their asses to get the best track possible. The whoop/jump rearrangement is all Feld trying to make the track more safe (in their belief).
So there's never been whoops straight after a 180 turn?
If you look at all the track maps for the year, exactly half so far have the whoops coming straight out of a 180 turn, the other half have a short single-double or triple combo before the whoops. Who is that supposed to favour?
Can you tell me how many times they've altered a track so that what they built differed from the design in a way that made the whoops faster or less likely to be jumpers?
We can disagree on the motivation or the impact of it but there's a theme to what's been happening and not sure why you'd deny that it's taking place?
I agree that making the whoops slow speed is pretty lame, but the ppl saying that theyre purposely turning the whoops this specific week into jumpers in order to hurt chase makes no sense. Even if he wins he cant win the championship unless webb gets a 3rd and then a 4th next week, so why would they be trying to prevent him from winning if him winning doesnt change anything? Makes no sense in that context. Also if anything the promoters would want a winner take all situation next week because thats better for tv, so if anything theyd want webb to get like a 5th place this week.
Also saying decoster isnt fighting for sexton because he doesnt care anymore because hes leaving is crazy. If rog has to lose his top rider at the very least he wants to get a championship out of him. He only dedicates his entire life toward chasing championships. Not to mention I’m sure he also prob gets a massive championship bonus as well.
