Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
How many people have left Kawi now pissed off? Reed, Millsaps, RV, Ando? Sexton next?
That's MXA testing the new Triumph. But maybe they know something and the number has a meaning. Doubt it.
Ando is pissed because he wasn’t retained. Not sure how’s that’s relevant to the others listed.
Hehehe...I was just "pokin' the bear" with that picture.
IMO, the only bogus thing about Ando stepping away like he may have done after getting his panties in a wad over his not being signed for 2026...is all the bullshit about it being a "family issue" or "mental health" or any other lame reason. I'd be onboard if he wanted to spend some quality time with his wife & kids, but seems to me he's kind of being an entitled brat about the whole thing.

Its sorta like when James fired Brooks but said Larry wasn't at the races because he needed "family time" if I remember correctly.
He still pissed tho lol. Something happened to not come back and finish the series. He could have been on the podium every weekend cashing checks with everyone out.
Always been a big fan of Jason’s riding, off the track he definitely seems a little emotional. If he really dipped out because he’s mad Sexton is coming then that kind of confirms it. This whole ordeal is making it a lot easier to not be a fan of his.
Or is he just pissed knowing that he isn’t given the flexibility for bike changes while struggling. Meanwhile knowing that Chase is potentially coming on board and given the opportunity to change things to his liking. 🤷🏼
Agreed.
He is paid to do a job, not throw temper tantrums and quit because someone else might get a better deal or better flexibility next year.
Not a good look for him.
So this update we got on page 5 of this thread was wrong? lol
Except…he hadn’t been on the podium since Tampa back in early February nearly 3 months ago.
apparently according to the latest Cooksey video:
If that about Ando's daughter was legit, I'd be behind him 1000%. Family is top priority.
He would have some more podiums if he stayed in it lol.
add weimer to tht list
He competed 5 more times between his podium in Tampa and quitting the series. I’m not quite sure why you’re so confident that he could have turned his season around in the final rounds, overcome his emergency, and found his way back to the podium.
Weimer had the added pressure of being in Villopoto's shadow all the time. I've heard rumors that Kawasaki favored Villopoto over Weimer with factory parts too.
he was competitive all season long. Which just adds to none of this really adding up - I'm afraid I agree with Cooksey that this is a good ol' fashioned tantrum and I think it's really unfortunate. I can't imagine other teams like this look, either. "So if we sign him and then he figures out we might NOT sign him for next year, he'll just quit? No thanks."
Pit Row
I haven't heard those rumors but it's logical that they'd focus on the guy winning rather than the B rider.
Not logical. Kawi would want BOTH of them to win (or do well) right? It's a factory team, they have the personnel, budget, and resources.
he mentioned a couple times on pulp when ever he was on , yrs ago he told the story but he wasent feeling the bike but because it was catered around RV & RV was winning on tht setup , according to him they wasent willing to meet him half way on getting him comfy on the bike cause RV’s setup wasent working for him
I'm going full on tinfoil hat here but....
So the first race Jason missed was the race after Chase punted him. I'm wondering if Jason went back the the truck that night and was talking about blasting Chase in the next couple of races. Kawi (knowing they were signing Chase) told Ando to not touch Chase as they would like to have the #1 plate next year with Chase.
Millsaps and Ando had same locker?
The big question is.... Where does he land next season? The couch? Not many options left.
How does it usually work where multiple riders on the same team think that they're the A guy? Rarely works out well
Honda late 90's did ok with having both lusk, tortelli, and windham winning.
Not a popular opinion, but bouncing on a factory team mid-contract is likely to earn a 30+ rider professional retirement.
We had Team Stanton vs Team Bayle, MxKied vs Bayle.
Larocco vs MxKied.
Ryno vs Langston...
Sexton left Team Lawrence to ride a KTM
Fit me up for one of those hats. Sounds somewhat reasonable lol
Honestly, Anderson had to know there was a chance he wasn't going to get a contract extension. He's getting older, and his contract was coming to an end. Add to that, a lot of other riders are on the market. It's business.
IMO, if you have the chance to sign Sexton or re-sign Anderson, the decision is easy.
If he left because Kawi decided to sign someone else, he's being very unprofessional.
If he's struggling with mental health issues, that's a different thing, and I hope he gets the help he needs. That shit will fuck up a person.
