I’m not talking about front-to-back best tape but rather your favorite segment/edit. Both of mine come from Fox’s TerraFirma 7 between the opening segment and the RC’s closer with Deftones but if I have to pick, there isn’t a video that still gives me goosebumps like this one does. So many legendary riders in this, RC’s crazy save and style, glimpses of peak Pastrana and the soundtrack is perfect. What say you?
DEVIL MAN!!! - Crusty 1 is unbeatable
First thing that came to mind for me too.
Terrafirma 2 is my shout

Fly is my personal fave but you can’t go wrong with Terrafirma 2 and Steel Roots.

crusty 1, and/or the original moto xxx changed the game,
Project MX (Terrafirma 7) is one of the better ones I agree.
I think FOX Great Hits Volume 1 edges it though, especially the RC part early on - I feel the song and chosen footage perfectly encapsulates the (at the time) internal attitude Ricky had on a bike.
I remember working out with these vids playing in the background back in the day when it was all the rage.

DV was a good starter. I feel like I remember him always being up front early. It’s funny how “loose” they all look on the bike. The tracks developed so different compared to today.
I think it was ON TP199 there is a clip of Travis at MXDN on the 125... always loved that part and music....
but nothing beats the steel roots clip.
Might be the segment on Revelation 199, that's certainly my all time favorite moto movie. The music was awesome we were like 8 years old watching that thing on repeat in the camper before we raced or road the next day. The freeride part with the Disturbed song was all time.
Crusty DOD is the heavyweight, platinum standard. Never been any video to even come close. It personified the time and attitude of MX, and riding in general, at the time.
Any old clips on Gary Bailey’s YouTube.
yes, you are probably correct... when he jumps that down hill over Roncada at MXDN gives me chills... badass.
Some more modern picks for me;
I always really liked Heplers part in TWMX’s Why
Castillo ranch segment from stone spray sandwich
Millsaps part in 6IX
The moto 4? Or 3? Intro with RD and RC
Hard to pick from the older ones for me because they’re all so damn good
Stone spray sandwich
Pit Row
Everytime I hear that opening riff for Symphony Of Destruction I mentally picture MC doing that nac-nac
Brandon's first race for honorable mention...
Winners Take All.
No, I take that back. The opening segment of Terrafirma III, When Johnny Campbell is doing 100MPH through the desert is righteous.
That clip with biohazard blaring gets my heart pumping every time 🔥
“To some people a motorcycle is work, or a way to get to work, or a way to get away from it all through the solitude of the open country. A motorcycle is whatever you want to make it. Turn it on and you can give yourself a real thrill!”
Terrafirma 1, Doug Henry at Castillo ranch with Alice in Chains Nutshell. Just something about that combo that still gives me chills.
Honorable mention: Another Doug Henry Terrafirma with Elvis helping him clear that triple. Watch it and check out Doug's SX track. Was and still is one bad mofo.
not gonna lie but i teared up a couple times watching dust to glory about Mouse Mccoy doing the full Baja 1000.
Not my favorite but this segment from Kickstart came to mind after watching the Stewart heli shoot posted in here
If you think back to when they did that, hat was a really well put together video. That's my time period which makes it great also.
The Mookie/JDR Dream Ride edits were epic. Maybe not goat worthy, but sick none the less.
On a side note, man I wish there were more edits of James free riding. He just missed the YouTube era.... man what could have been!
On Any Sunday FTW!
