I wasnt great about the documentation of this thing while building on the forum, but honestly a little too proud of the thing to not post. 2007 RM250, ~50 hours when I got it from a long term buddy who was ready to sell, and knew I bleed yellow. Grabbed the next-to last of the mohicans, and went to town. Way too much to list, but key take aways:
- Kit Showa, valved by 707 Racing Suspension
- Full Hinson Clutch
- Full titanium/aluminum hardware
- Titanium pegs/custom brake tip
- 24mm HPSD
- FMF Factory Fatty and Titanium 2 Muffler
- Ride Engineering Billet Caliper with CR-F Master
- Ride Engineering 22mm Clamps
- Turned/Coated Hubs by TCR with DID ST-X Hoops
- Motor rebuilt, stock internals with Phathead

Sic builds Bro…. Fun finding a nut or bolt when it falls on your garage floor huh😜
You’re not wrong. Christ the floor looks good but ti hardware and that floor is not fun. Especially the black bolts off the mountain bikes 😂
Nice build! Glad to see Joel's stuff being used. Good people right there
Love the minimalist graphics, really clean look.
Excellent! Thank you for sharing.
Really nice job, well done!
Curious if you had the shock body re-Kashima coated or was it new?
Thanks Chuck!
Negative, its a kit shock/fork that was previously coated and didn't have to send anything out for coating.
Nice! Guessing it was new stuff then as it looks proper kashima and not worn at all! Awesome
What brand Pegs are those? Raptor?
I see they have KTM written on them.
I tried a set of (cheapo) titanium pegs from a KTM on my 08 RM250 and they were way too angled forward to use. Where as yours look pretty much flat
Pro Pegs for the earlier KTM (I think 2004 - 2015), I have them on both RM's and they only need the KTM spring to make them work. Between the frame differences in the 04 125 and 07 250, both sit very well honestly.

Awesome RM. Any details on the brake pedal tip and rear brake clevis? Would like to do the same for my 07
Thanks my friend! Drilled out the rivets holding on the tip and basically grind/file away the brake arm until it matched the angle for the Pro Pegs KTM replacement brake pedal. Once there, drill and tap, done. Time consuming but I sure think its worth it...
Awesome. Thank you

Great work Brandon, I thought it was your dads but I should have known it was yours! When I saw the pictures yesterday I sent him a text. His reply was what I should have expected, “I ruin or destroy “. Very well done and congratulations on the ebike championship last year.
Beautiful clean build!
Thanks John, really appreciate the feedback and kind words! Pops always jokes that he spells "restore" as "destroyed" and there may be some truth to it!
Should get the three of us out on the Decoy's for some hot laps soon!
I’m up for a ride but your idea of hot laps and mine are probably a little different!
I'm in love. What a build! Nicely done!
Shoot I’m not sure about that!! You can sure put it down!
Thank you!!
@Sam Cometti pictures of the frame stops and mounting of the damper are below. These are off of my 125 technically, but same same. Basically weld a bung to the frame and tap for the M7 honda bolt (I think it is 73mm from center of triple mount to center of the top damper bolt), install two little frame stops, powder coat the frame! I did have to machine down the stock Honda tapered spacer a tad.
Post a reply to: Not another RM250...
