Around what year?    I used to hit the one on 4th plain,a little one downtown couve,Hazel dell location then the Salmon Creek one lol.  Even been to a couple locations in Portland.

99-08. The Gateway location right off 205 in Portland.
Halsey and, 102nd intersection.

04-08 the one off 4th Plain.

Part of my apprenticeship required taking welding classes at Clark Community College. The one off 4th Plain was where I would go for dinner after work before heading to those classes.

Right on!  Yep it's very close to Clark...

I used to hit the one too in downtown couve.  I would hangout at a buddy of mine Fred's bar downtown called Shanahan's then hit Mucho's after,. That's a cool spot (Shannahans) if you ever get down that way again.  Fred's a great guy and was one hell of a Green Beret.

Crazy how small the world is.

Edit:  You ever eat at McMennamin’s?

There’s one that is right on the Columbia River on the Vancouver side. My wife and, I had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding there.

Pretty wild/night and weekend. I never even made it to Washougal that weekend. LOL .  I ended up at a Motley Crue & Alice Cooper concert with some RedBull model.  lol

Yes on McMennamin’s. Where that restaurant is located I used to throw big keg parties on the beach back in the 1980's. We called the spot glass beach. The only restaurant that was there was Who Song & Larry's, then the Chart House opened up.

I like the McMennamin’s theaters.

I did a 3 stop deliver in 3 different towns in 2 states in strip malls today . 1st stop a tree trimmer trk with out riggers and boom up was in the corner that I needed to get in the tight parking lot. All kinds of problems on all 3 stops. Pu was in Ga . In the boonies 100 mi s. Of AtL it was sitting traffic threw AtL to almost Tn. . No where to park & constant off & on hard showers .  Fog at night and more rain I parked at a gas station off to the side only stop light in town was next to me. Loud as hell so i didn’t get much sleep b4 delivers.  Scrap yard pu earlier in the week is another cluster didn’t get the rt ld on me. Countless problems getting back in to reload . Then the fat idiot put the forklift threw the roof and makes a hole. Trk in the scrap delivery driveway broke a tie rod I was told probably a pitman arm . He ditched it we all had to wait for a wrecked to pull him out .  A 3k+ bag of metal shavings constantly banging ito the door sprung it . It still doesn’t close with out a hr of work . 10 wheel borrows of metal shaving where all ovr tge floor .  Leaf  blowed for a hr+ I had that crap down my shirt into my underwear inside my boots.  Next is off to a tiny  trl repair shop for a roof patch  . I borrowed there high quality push  broom another hr trying get the metal shavings out of the floor.  Scrap ld was after sitting for 4 days ovr the holiday, no loads 250 mi radius of Indy . Thursday to sat noon constant phone calls with work.  Most boring ts ever no one talked or woukd talk .   Even the illegals I ask how many days u been hear they just stare then walk away . Very strange I did laundry 2 days , went for a few walks , Walmart , added up receipts for taxes , etc. try to stay busy . Constant hard showers off & on its muggy like summer in the se.  But starve no cold sandwiches in the se or a parking spot .   Getting stuff to these stores is a f ing bitch doesn’t pay shit either .

You stood out with the tan 😂   That’s the best way to get a woman’s attention up here.

Everyone in the PNW is chalky and, pasty looking with the lack of sunshine.  Summers are amazing. The rest of the year, meh….

Every time I go visit California, I’m trying to get tan lol.

Every time I go visit California, I’m trying to get tan lol.

Years ago when I owned a home up that way (Pre 2005) - I had bought a stand up tanning bed for one of the spare bedrooms.

Easiest way to fill your home with strippers & chicks in general around the PDX area.  lol

We used to hit a lot of the strip bars in Portland. Dancin Bare(I knew George the owner) ,Viewpoint,ACrop ect...there's a hundred of them.

Here's something useful maybe for some of you guys who still like to party.  Side hustle I had.

Around that same time late 90's early 2000's is when we started seeing webcam sites pop-up on the internet like i-friends -(it was like Chaturbate or MyFreeCams).  The market wasn't as saturated and it was a very new thing. All those places had a referral program to bring in new webcam models. I registered a .com for like $9.99 and framed my affiliate link/referral code to it. I put it on biz cards. I would give them out to strippers or other chicks. At that time 1 referral paid about $250. So If I could get 4 each night while partying I could make a grand. This method I assume still works to this day. But there's more saturation. I think places like Chaturbate only pas about $75 per performer.  I would say to them... you aren't bad looking do you any other form of modeling?  That would break the ice. Then start in on I know a lot safer way for you to make money and way more than you are making here. All you need is a home computer and webcam.  It worked well.

Edit : I just checked chaturbate pays $50 now per broadcaster you recruit. They payout once the person you recruit earns $20 in tips on their platform.

But still might be a decent little side hustle for someone.

I worked for Safeway for about 10 years in my younger life. Altogether I actually worked in over 30 stores during that time, but only 4 of them were my ‘home’ stores. The mid 80s to mid 90s was a good time to be in management for them. I still can’t figure out how I spent all the money that they paid me, but whatever I spent it on sure was fun!!!!!!

I haven’t seen a Safeway down here, but Tom Thumb is their equivalent along with Albertsons of course. I think that they had a Randall’s division in Texas, maybe they still do but I haven’t seen one yet.

My mom was a trucker so I was raised around folks that speak...and think just like Pro.  That chatgp translation was spot on.  Surprising...I figured Ai would think of Pro like a WW2 code talker.

Earlier in the week, I had a scrap yard pickup, and that was another disaster. They didn’t load the right stuff onto my truck. Had countless problems trying to get back in to reload. Then the overweight idiot running the forklift put it through the roof of my trailer, making a hole.

Another truck delivering scrap broke a tie rod (I was told probably the pitman arm) and ditched it in the driveway. We all had to wait for a wrecker to pull him out.

A 3,000+ lb bag of metal shavings kept slamming into my door and sprung it — now it doesn’t close without an hour of work. Ten wheelbarrows’ worth of metal shavings were all over the floor. I spent over an hour leaf-blowing it out, getting that crap down my shirt, into my underwear, and inside my boots.

Next, I had to take the trailer to a tiny repair shop to get a patch put on the roof. I borrowed their high-quality push broom and spent another hour trying to clean the metal shavings out of the floor.

The scrap load came after sitting around four days over the holiday because there were no loads within a 250-mile radius of Indy. From Thursday to Saturday noon, it was constant calls from work — most boring truck stop ever. No one would talk — even the illegals. I asked a few how long they’d been there, and they just stared and walked away. Very strange vibe.

I tried to stay busy — did laundry two days, went for a few walks, hit Walmart, added up receipts for taxes, etc. It was constant hard showers off and on — muggy like summer in the Southeast.

But you either starve, eat cold sandwiches, and fight for a parking spot — or deal with it. Getting stuff to these stores is a f***ing nightmare and doesn’t pay shit either.

Dude, if you teach pro how to use ChatGPT, it'll ruin his career on this site.

The source of many “cycle stands” and a place where many Coca-Cola/Pepsi/Dr Pepper/7 Up bottles were returned in order to buy parts to build BMX bikes.

Dammit Manny, I think I've mentioned this before but that is the Safeway between Crown and Camden right? My aunt lives a couple of blocks from there on Corvallis Court. Bought that house for $70,000.00 in 1977.

Yes, my Moto-Bro…I recall.

My folks bought a house on Redmond in 1973 for $37K (it had a pay-back note due it and my dad figured that out during his own title search! 🤣)

Years later…1981 right after I graduated HS…we moved farther out to the edge of humanity into a house we’d had built that was pretty nice and afforded me the ability to ride my CR from the house to my hillside practice track.

From there I moved out to New Almaden on my own and got back into the equestrian life for a few years and started breeding Huskies.  Really, really, really…good times.

The stripper I threw up on was at the Acropolis.

I said, home of the $6 steak dinner 😂

Not a good place for a $6 steak dinner.

I was a train wreck back then. But, it was always fun and, a place for good stories in the making.

“We were young”

There was a dancer from that crowd…that era…that could ride a Moto better than most the dudes up in this place…

Her name was Christy…Christina Steele. She was a bad ass. She was an awesome person.

Cancer stole her from us.

I don't remember her.  I will have to try to find out her story.

The 2 girls that I can remember were Dawn Piazza & Mercedes Gonz. Both left a lot of guys in disbelief.

Had to go back up there last month. The San Luis Reservoir is fuller than I've ever seen it and the lake at Colero Rec area is fuller than I've ever seen it too.

Safeway, Albertsons and Fred Meyer are too expensive.

We do 90% of our grocery shopping at Winco, the other 10% at Walmart.

Anecdotally I want to say that groceries at the first 3 I listed are 10-30% higher then Winco.

It's been closed longer than I thought!  The large building in the background is facing Puget Sound, the railroad tracks run parallel to Alaskan Way.  Spent a LOT of time prowling the downtown from 89-92ish, it was a great time to be (relatively) young in Seattle!

We need to go up there as a group…for a Supercross…that’s a great scene.

We could have a Helluva Nice “Long Weekend”. 🤣
