Was at cahuilla last weekend. Both the main and vet were very fun. Only complaint is I did not see a single flagger on either track all day, and the water truck randomly crossed the track with oncoming traffic

Barona was fun today, first time riding the place.Weather was fantastic and the tree area in the pits are rad. Kind of a tight track but a few line options and the dirt is tacky. Some nice corners, no big jumps but the two steep faced tables are fun. Did a lap on the vet track, has potential but seems like it needs some break in and tweaks.

You common issue with all this started with California there is a reason the industry is basically moving out of that garbage dump.  I only ever here that the weather is nice and that's the reason people stay.  I tell you what I hear enough bad stuff that no weather would ever make me want to live there.

Yes I care way too much about my family, the country and my future to live there and give my tax dollars to a place that just wants to see the place burn.  We'd be better off if it broke off into the ocean tomorrow.

He says he likes where he lives at. No problem with that. I don’t miss the traffic on the 405, 101, 91 and every other freeway in SoCal. We won’t even talk about the cost of living, especially housing that’s a complete gouge.

Well, I think I  can speak for the likes of Broc and myself…

We love the West-Coast-Outdoor-Life; but, sometimes we don’t like paying for it nor do we like some of the complete kooks that seem to roam the big cities. All the while…we get to moto like nowehere-else…or go from where we’re at to Vegas…off-road…or from here to the backside of Yosemite…off-road…too many awesome hillside and/or hidden and/or private tracks to ride.

Personally, I have to “retire” over the next few years…literally have to decide when…where…I’m gonna “take my retirement”…

I won’t be “taking my retirement” as a Californian! 🤣

I might retire as a South Dakotan…or a Texan…or a Nevadan…or a “anything not Cali-income-taxed”…Alaska…? 🤔

Montana, Idaho and Wyoming should be at the top of the list in my opinion. SD be hell for someone like yourself.

“South Dakota”…”retired”…doesn’t necessarily mean full-time 🤣

I’ve already got some properties that look like they could be the spot just south of Carson City…and that let’s me enjoy the Eastern Sierras on the regular…¡Me encantan las montañas!

Don't even bother. Some people believe everything that they see on the news. I'm still not sure why they care so much about a place that they don't live in? I couldn't care less where they live, makes no difference in my life. And the "my family, my country" line 🙄 give me a fucking break, no one is forcing  you to move here, wtf?

BTW, most of the dirtbags you see on the news are here from somewhere else. Same with the homeless situation. California is a magnet for assholes and vagrants from the whole country.  Sucks that we have to deal with it. This was a great place to grow up when I was a kid..

I do not understand why some random dude from out of state is commenting on Southern California tracks ?

I don’t see a lot of SoCal riders bashing midwest tracks?

If you don’t like it here, then don’t come here.

I can 100% guarantee you my family would not love it there.  I also work with several people that live there and they complain about it all the time.

Again didn't say it wasn't pretty it's all the other crap you have to put up with there that would make it unbearable for us.

I grew up in TX 20+ years lived in the NW (Mt Hood)for 20 years, been in North County SD for 13 years. And now travel the country monthly. I know these post are pointless, but entertaining. I’m just curious what other crap do you mean? You might not like some parts of CA (just like all states have),but it’s very big and diverse. Most of CA is big mountains and woods, not cities, and prices vary big time. And if you don’t pay as much attention to the news that stuff would never make a difference.
I travel the country and enjoy and spend time in most states, some of the ones mentioned in this thread are my least favorites. But they all have good and bad. But non offer all the things that CA does.

My daughter is interviewing for a financial job based out  of San Diego…. I hope she gets it, so I can have a reason to spend next winter helping her get situated….probably do some riding too👍 Each and everyone of the states in the good old USA have something unique and special about them….thats what makes the USA great…. Been to California a few times, always enjoyed myself….far as tracks goes… I just thought everyone Bro”s down at Glen Helen every weekend😂

Tell her to buckle up. The median price home in SD is about $900 grand, and it’s not that nice and it’s old.

Try Cahuilla Creek and Glen Helen while you’re here.

Cahuilla was all-time yesterday. A little chilly, but damn was that dirt absolutely perfect.

Anyone talking poorly about California hasn’t spent an extended period of time in South OC. Book a week in Dana Point or Laguna Beach with your wife, eat the food, ride bicycles and dirt bikes, cruise the beach, then form an opinion.

We moved out of south OC 5 years ago for my career/company. Lots of things we miss, some we don’t. I do tell folks it’s the best all-around spot in the country for so many reasons. But if you’re middle-class or even upper middle-class and work for a living, it’s tough to take advantage of all the benefits.

My wife and I are working toward purchasing a condo in Dana Point or San Clemente to get the best of both worlds. We both agree we don’t belong there full-time, but we do want some roots to stay there. It will always have a huge place in my heart.
