But let me guess …… MUD outdoors is fine. 🤣

Who else here has raced in mud?

Just about anyone of us on here from the Northwest.

Here's a couple oldies from Washougal circa 81.

Last night during the race thread I trash talked the idea of 8 and 12 minute mains. Upon further review that was all the "racing" I needed to see.

I agree, absolute shit show. Pack it up and head to the next one. A little wet is one thing, removing sections, shortening races, rolling every jump and can’t tell who’s out there is another.

That was feld getting their ticket sale money at any means necessary. Screw the fans, screw the teams, screw the championship.

No way around it, they fucking suck. SX should only happen in closed domes, mud doesn't work with the format, unlike road racing where racing actually happens, SX in the mud turns into a belly flopping clown show, no one likes it.

1st off, you’re arguing with Mother Nature or “The Weather”…your pick.

2nd off, as a racer that’s raced in the rain and mud…from Hollister, California to Hurricane Mills, Tennessee to Prince George, BC, Canada to Laguna Hanson, BC, Mexico…it’s all part of racing in the dirt. Period.

Personally, I loved last night’s race. I actually smiled when I saw Park, Linville, Rodbell & Bennick in the top 5.

I was stoked to see Plessinger have a dominant win in circumstances that reminded me why I’m a fan of his and his team. I was blown away at how Webb proved to us, once again, that he “ain’t got no quit in him”.

Shane Mac in 2nd? NICE!

Benny gettin’ a 7th? NICE!

Logan Leitzel in 9th!!!

All of that…just…Awesome.

It’s all racing…and I loved it.

You forgot about NorCal. guy Max V winning his heat with a killer start.

I don’t  bother wasting my time watching SX mudders.

Yeah just keep on being a little whiny bitch and not supporting our sport.

You ever race bro? Seems like you didn't. Or maybe you just sucked.

lol here comes a lot of downvotes for you calling out someone who is a fair weather fan. I side with you. Was a mess to watch but something I still look forward to every Saturday.

It's the big bike equivalent of watching PW's race in deep sand or mud.  And I bet the 10,000 or so people that were left in the stadium were miserable.

I told my dad that’s it’s like we are watching the ktm jr’s because everyone was rolling around on the track.

I just think about all the poor privateers that roached their bikes last night.  That’s gotta be a full rebuild after🤔

12 minute main so gnarly.

On one hand I'm not a fan of SX mud races, but it's nice to see a shake up and its not the same old whoever gets the hole shot wins. Seeing guys use  different set of skills is interesting. Watch AP how he would line up the straight away and go. Then go easy in the next corner get it straight and go. Hopefully this is the only mudder though. To many is a bad thing.

If they just build a track with out dirt everyone would be happy, No ruts, no mud, no bumps, etc

Ppl are asking why theyre going to the northeast at this time, but last year it was the first half of the year where we had like 6 mud races and those were west coast, the south, and other warmer places. In foxboro it was 68 and sunny literally the day before, it was just bad luck here.

On one of the podcasts they had a good point that since were on a streaming service and not tv why cant they move the race to earlier in the day if needed to avoid weather. They said other sports do it like nascar.

You’re right, Feld had a conversation with Mother Nature and said “make it rain all night”. They are 100% responsible for spring weather in New England. How dare they!

How was that not the best race of the year to watch? Guys crashing constantly, dozens of passes, Webb from way back to third, huge points swings, privateers on the box etc etc.

You think watching it on TV is bad, i almost bought tickets to Foxborough. front row seats...

Yes it was a good race but the negatives of a mudder out weigh the positives. I enjoyed it but one or two in a season is more than enough.

Weather has always been a part of racing. The racers have to adapt. It makes it interesting.

dude use your head, the bikes would've started blowing up if it were longer.  Do you really want to see the championship decided over a bike dying?

I'm always amazed that the best riders in the world only have the skills to keep their shit running for 10 minutes in the mud.  Maybe they need to adapt a little bit?

Stu Baylor woulda lapped the field and rode his fucking bike home after that race....

SX is all about timing Rhythm lanes, whoops and big jumps all of which goes away in mud races! They suck to watch and they can completely mess up a good championship points battle. Mud in MX is great but not for SX.

If they cant make the bikes to be able to finish just because its muddy then they don't deserve a championship.

Yeah let’s do years of testing and r&d for a once maybe twice in a lifetime event. Let’s flood all the test tracks in Cali so nothing can be jumped. Let’s do this the whole offseason in hopes this helps us MAYBE once in a season. Brilliant. Not sure why no teams have thought of this. Rodger D just may have lost his job to you if someone at KTM gets wind of this crazy insider knowledge.

You just raised the leve of stupid. There are mud races every year both in SX and MX  dumbass. Of cource they can go the distance, Its not like top fuel drag racing where they are made to last only 1000 Feet before they blow up.

Here, I got another one for ya. Towards the end of Jett’s perfect outdoor season, I would skip to the end of the race as soon as Jett opened up a big lead. How’s that for a casual clown? Lol

Hah. So there are multiple mud races a year in sx when 90% of the field can’t jump anything? Now Mx and sx are the same type of mud races? Who are you? Are you an old man who’s never raced? Or a teenager that also has no clue. I don’t remember names on this board but every time I see yours I wonder if you’re trolling. Why do teams or privateer not take your approach if you think you know the key to success? Meanwhile you’re on here miserable in your moms basement arguing on vital with people more knowledgeable than yourself.
