ha ha ha, too funny how the bench racing goes. You don't know why the relationship ended, you don't seem to have any idea whether things were bad or not. You just, very simply, just look at what the gear look like and what is good or not good, in each of your own books.

Very funny.

Believe me, there's very little thread and gear decision made purely based on quality and look. It's all about the $$ and what the company are ready to give and what the rider is ready to do to deserve his pay. Often, things go wrong, just right there.

Besides that though, about the designs, i live in Barbados, a surfing destination, surf wear is seen on pretty much every middle class kids here, on any given day, including myself...and i have to say, the modern mx gear looks like they stole designs from Volcom and quiksilver, they are not bad by any means, but i can see why some think the gear has a circus look to it....me on the other hand? I think its just surf style..

oh and here is a small introduction to a popular surf that sees the likes of Kelly Slater and such down here in Barbados..ps as a kid i grew up in the summer on that beach, its awesome, only my dream was to put an mx track in the hills behind it! The houses you see are beach houses that can be rented by pretty much anyone, and as such why i had the lucky opportunity to spend many summers down there..

I ran Thor sets for a while, new 2010 set had hole on knees after 2 practice sessions (with asterisk braces though,) but bought a cheap set of 2010 No Fear gear and used it like 15 times, not any holes still! And it feels alot better! Would be cool seeing Reed in something like No Fear, Shift, Scott ..

Funny how this thread is about Reed and Thor...yet the most repeated word and gear company being talked about so far is FOX...I love it. Mission accomplished...they win...and you're all talking about it. I love the Fox bashing that goes on in here, yet they sell through everything...year in and year out...it's almost like bashing Metallica for being sellouts. They're reply..."Yeah we sellout, every seat of every arena and stadium we play."

Nobody has mentioned yet but I could see Chad wearing Alpinestars from head to toe next year...just my .02
