That's the funniest part of all this...the people/threads that ended up being hidden.   All because they said something against the "censor thee if you don't think like me" lynch mob.          Saw that coming from a mile away. 

Most times haters appear a larger group then they are because they are willing to publicly whine non-stop. Whereas most of those in the supportive group don’t say much if anything. Especially in the online world.

So who knows, the vast majority may like the latest changes to the forum. 

Now I know why the post show hasn't been done yet 😅 

To answer your original question, no.

If you can't take criticism, you shouldn't be posting.

This only works if each one of their posts gets enough downvotes. Otherwise you’ll still see them. 

A better feature would be the ability to block your chosen users.

This exists and I mentioned it above.

Not in the the sense of a true 100% block script. 

Like what FB uses would be a good example. 

Meaning once you block someone you don't see them and they cant see you (posts & profile). 

Reason some have wanted it is because of users following them around and try to troll them - the current script still makes that possible.

That is what most have been wanting on here for many years - when they say they want a block feature.  

That I would assume would be less headaches for you and make things possibly run smoother for you.

It is this type of crap that has killed 99 percent of remaining message boards. This and micromanagement by politically correct nitwits. I am certain my comment will now be removed ....

It’s a slippery slope to censor in my opinion, not that it means much.

ML has a tough job policing this place, and we certainly have trolls and burner accounts. But just bc we disagree with someone it doesn’t mean we should hide their comments.

There is a clear difference with contrarian opinions and people just being childish. as I’ve mentioned previously, if we were all drinking beer and bench racing in someone’s garage we would all be best friends, aside from a few bad apples I guess

Regardless of anyone's stance on these "features".    Might be a good time to thank the folks behind the scenes doing the coding and keeping this dinosaur forum software in running condition.

The reason censorship doesn't work, and free speech does is that is that bad ideas need to be made public to be criticized. Just because books got burned in dictatorships didn't mean the ideas and concepts of those books ceased to exist. A public forum is just that, public, whether bad ideas, offensive, or hair brained. This censorship on this forum, that I just recently noticed, limits our ability to know where the people we are discussing things with are coming from. Limits what we know of their values, what our fellow posters consider as valid talking points, limits us all to being exposed to points perhaps not thought about before about our sport. I wonder if this is another sign the MX "media" shows immense contempt for the very fans that support it. From Weege and Matthes consistently dropping passive aggressive insults our way, to RC's keyboard warrior rant, and now this forum (one of the only places fans can express public grievances about the sport) censoring. Fans of this sport are consistently being told to shut up and just buy the product we sell. From dumb race classes, overpriced complicated bikes, soaring ticket prices, piss poor live commentary, on and on, we are just asked to just keep shoveling the shit we are given. And yet the powers that be wonder how to get a bigger audience. Not a good look or a good move, this censorship thing is an answer to a question nobody asked.
