I think the mechanics rebuild the bikes the next day, someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
Federal DOT on-duty hours. The semi drivers usually have lots to do during race day and have to take down the pit and reload the truck. This all counts against their allowed on-duty time and cuts into the allowed drive time. I believe they are allowed 14 hours on-duty with 11 of those being driving time. A full race day including tear down will certainly push those 14 hours, easier to get some sleep and start the next morning fresh.
In before profesh
Also, check your tires!
They ran late, checking the sprocket bolts after the main events.

Are you really rolling up to 233k miles on your rig? Nice work if you are. Staying on top of oil changes is the key.
What make/model is it?
How do you tag Pro so he can come and clarify this for us?
I'd love to give an opinion but i feel like i need to defer to our guy professional125 on this one. 😀
There has to be some eastern European women sabotage here me thinks.
Russian mob had something to do with this me thinks
Yes that’s correct the hrs of service u posted. Weather , traffic allows you to add 2 more hrs to your day. Just stop b4 your out of 14 hrs , go on duty & type storm or no where to park drive to safe parking spot. You get 2 hrs extra then . I made it a 17 1/2 day rain all day & at night sucked in the Wv. Mtns. Cheap boss talked about a bonus i got a 100 bucks but i got 1.00 per mi on 1,342 miles . Because i said i think i,m out of here etc.
. Not enough for Real bad pu s. It feels like 200 hr days trk is a beater. I did it last week on a multiple pu load . I did a split break on that too a 8 hr break instead of 10. When you start after that you hv to take a 2 hr break after the 1st 8 hrs. 1st pu was in the worst cave of 60 times I,ve been in 1. Worse than all 5 boroughs of nyc is bad. Most 1099 Eastern European Chicago co.s push 3 , 14 hr shifts straight. You don’t want to do that in there junk in the north east. Chicago straight to Seattle in a slow 72 mph pile is Hell also. It makes more sense to start in the morning preferably early . The driver may hv been waiting a storm out too , spending time with a woman, friend, who knows . I ,m sure it’s a long day for him . Why not get some sleep & drive in daylight. Cave pic day cab 30 ft shorter than me & his dock was easier .
You can also say your Elog tablet crashed . It’s easy to make them not work usually they do it on there own. Then use loose leaf paper logs. Here is a exit for a Very famous track . Guess where it is .
High point or steel shitty?
High point?
Some teams build the bikes for the next weekend on Sundays.
Very interesting post.
How do the smaller teams that are not in 18 wheelers do it?
RV’s? Vans?
I have always wondered where do they stay when they are traveling? Walmarts?
Back in the box van days we split up the driving on longer drives.
Another clue if I can get the pic uploaded
Best place to be in August!
That coal-miners daughter is hot!
A couple years ago we were on the way home Sunday from Atlanta Speedway SX and we ate at a Buffalo wild wings and I get out and notice in the huge parking lot next door the Austrian group had all their rigs parked there and had bikes stripped down to frames they were pressure washing rugs and bikes and all kinds of stuff it was pretty wild.
I thought I took a photo but cant find it on my phone.
Pit Row
I helped Dag Boyeseen,s mechanic a little bit change frames in a hotel parking lot for 97 Gainsville. He got 1 from LaRocco I think he went threw a lot of Suzuki frames. I showered at the LL pilot ovr the weekend . No laundry there the Very busy Loves 20 mi East x 163 has side door washers . Another LL exit pic 89% humidity 64% dew point 83-87 degrees & a lot of severe weather in Tn.
