MotoGP season kicks off in Burriam this weekend!
Major storylines
Marc Marquez on the Factory Ducati
Reigning champ Jorge Martin injured, out for at least 2 races
3 rookies, Aldeguer, Ogura and Chantra'
Honda and Yamaha working back towards competitiveness
KTM pressing on despite financial woes.
My Prediction:
World Champ: MM93
Top Rookie: Ai Ogura
MFG Title: Ducati
Trackhouse racing starts the season with an early contender for Livery of the Year.
Marquez brothers 1 and 2 in the Sprint. Hell of a ride by Ai Ogura in his first MotoGP outing. Yamaha looks competitive, Honda much improved, KTM may be in trouble, Acosta and Binder off the pace, Bastianini and Vinales riding off in the back tells me the KTM is a vey different bike from the Aprillia and the Ducati.
This is going to be a long season for #63.
But how cool was it to see the front 3 on the grid #93, #73, and #63

The man does look good in red.
Nice race today!
Marc wins with his brother second!
Great to see Marc return to top form, him and the latest spec Ducati is a dangerous combination. Not to be pessimistic but it will be nice when the new rules package resets bike development a bit.
Man, Marc didn’t just win that, he toyed with them.
Glad to see Honda in the top 10, shame Mir's crash when he was sixth...
Marc on a field day, amazing performance
The bikes are all so ugly with the aero now.
No doubt we're all fans of our MX/SX riders.
But these fucking aliens are incredible.
Pretty impressive to ride around and toy with the best riders on earth.
Does anyone here watch wsbk?
Great races also at Moto2 and Moto3...
I like watching SBK, but lately it seems a "Ducati cup", like MotoGP...
Yeah pretty insane marc can toy with these guys like that.. hopefully pecco finds more pace. Also shoutout Ai Ogura, hell of a ride.
Yeah I just hope Toprak can sort that BMW out and take it to the Ducatis. Although WSS was absolutely fantastic at Philip island.
I love MotoGP and WSBK, but over the past few year’s British super bike has been the most entertaining of the lot in my opinion.
Function over fashion. Good new is the Aero will be shrinking for 2027 with the new rules, as will the lowering and holeshot devices, which will make using aggressive aero like they are now more difficult.
Great race today! ✌️

Man Alex is showing what a tiny difference between the factory bikes and the customer spec bike is now. Man I wonder how much more they both might have had if on the same bike pushing each other. Marc just seemed like he had an extra 2 tenth if he needed it and maybe that was the bike today.
To think when Alex was on the Repsol Honda everyone thought he would have been long gone by now. An here he is doing this. HRC's gotta feel good about thay one.
They're making everyone else look bad.
I have nothing against Ducati but they are ruining MotoGP...hahaha..
I'm looking forward to thr new rules but there is still to much gadgetry for my liking.
Being the series tasked with building the absolute fastest bikes in the world has its drawbacks.
Marc is proving that the rider can still be the difference. Bastianini is proving that Martin should have gotten the Ducati factory ride over him in the first place. Gresini is proving that even without Marc at the helm, they’re still a world class racing team.
Really hope KTM can sort out their bike. Sucks seeing a talent like Acosta held back by machinery. Honda’s definitely made a step. Zarconwas incredible this weekend!
These Marquez boys are putting on a clinic. I haven't seen a pounding like this since the Pam/Tommy Lee video.
True. Really shows how much better he was then everyone while on that GP23. He was 2 mechanicals and pecco not wiping him out from being Champ on a year old machine. Could marc pull a perfect season?
None of the other oems have a bike even with upgrades thays gonna be close. If Alex falls off a bit or Marc's bike gets some good upgrades and pecco sti
I think morbidelli will be knocking on the door with them soon. People forget in 2020 he had a great season on a bike Rossi said the year before was past it's prime and needs to catch up cause hes over riding it to make it work. People don't realize how bad he was hurt last year either.
Speaking of 2020 anyone remeber thay crazy crash in Austria that almost killed vale and Maverick. I remeber watching Rossi get off the bike shaking and saying that's it. He's retiring.
Morbidelli and Zarco tangled wasn’t it? The on board footage from Rossi and Mav’s bikes was insane. Probably the wildest thing I’ve ever seen live.
There was one on the COTA straight one year too in Moto3. Acosta his a downed bike at full speed after 2 guys collided, Moto3 is pure chaos and aggression.
I had the streaming service for WSBK for a few years, but dropped it. MXGP and US Outdoors SX is enough 'sitting on my arse watching bike racing'.
Though, we get WSBK on SBS here a week after each event, so I watch that.
Best Thing Is : I got the notification for the TT Live Pass just now, so, I'm about to pay for it .
There's a 25% discount using the code : TTFAN25 for the next 7 days . So it's 23.99 Brit Pounds / $36.74 AUD.
It's a bloody bargain - truly great coverage of an incredible event.
For how difficult it must be to cover such an event, over , what is it, 37.8 miles of a Public Roads Circuit, they seem to have less problems with coverage from a Stadium, or a 1.6 / 2.6k MX track.
So I'm guessing another 1-1-1 for MM93 this weekend at COTA, one of his favorite tracks....
Is Alex is on the GP25 for the Gresin team or the 24?
He is on the 24
Big crash in the wet for Marc in the morning but he just sonned the whole field in qualifying practice. Not looking good for Pecco barely hanging onto the last Q2 slot and well off the pace of the other GP25s
Another episode of the Marquez brothers show. Best race of the season so far! Some great battles!
