I make the USA favourites only because it is in their country.

On paper Belgium and France are just as strong.

GB, Germany (with Schiffer in) are threats as well.

Italy should have been a podium threat with two of the top 3 in MX1 but even then Lupino isn't as good as USA, Belgium, France or the UKs MX2 guys.

Australia with Reed and Metty should do pretty good too.

In his defense he hasn't said Sweden will do good. He seems pretty angry against swedish mx as well and partically Svemo (which is like the AMA of Sweden but more like an evil cousin to FMI, the Italian federation)

Our riders suck and we shouldn't send a team at all really. But there are a few guys at Svemo that likes the idea of paid vacation in the USA for a few days.

Thanks for the insightful prediction...

Do you have anything better to do than hang out on an American mx forum. Btw, I think the GPs are a joke.

Will you be at the race team euro? If so, I am considering a wager. But only if you will be here so GuyB can get a picture of one of us paying our debt.

SEE........I get pissed off at McCread a little now and then , but he basically is just being patriotic.....just like most of us Americans do. I don't mind shit talking back and forth with someone like that , because we both believe in our home country. Same goes with just about every guy across the pond on this site. Like "Docsweeden"...........I really dig his posts!

Team Euro on the other hand.......Is just the opposite. He slams the USA riders and everyone that lives here every time he opens his mouth.

Fishing or not......I'd like to haul off and punch him right in the face if I ever had the chance to meet him! He has got to be the biggest fucking Douche' bag that has ever graced this board.

Team Euro.......After the MXoN's race and the Americans win ( or at least put in a great showing ).......please buy a gun and shoot yourself with it! God forbid you have any offspring with your intelligence. Just get it over with and stop infecting the rest of the world.

You see....
Team Euro's only purpose on here is to try to get under peoples skin.
He could obviously care less about having a logical talk about Motocross,MXoN or any other thing that pertains to the sport for that matter. He does not offer anything to this board what-so-ever! Just nonsense.

Mcread on the other hand contributes to this forum and it is always interesting to read his posts (whether you agree or not).

The problem for you is that motocross is not raced on paper--it is raced on on dirt!

Tell you what TeamEuro. I'll bet you $500 USA beats Sweden. Put your money where your mouth is. Don't have $500? How about $100 USA beats any of your other picks. Don't want to do that either? No balls, or no money? Which is it big mouth?

I take it you don't know Soren...you wouldn't understand that then. Have you attended or had experience with Tibro motogymnasium then you wouldn't understand that, Can you name all the GP riders from Sweden that have received a ride from talent rather than the parents taking a second on the home to pay for junior to ride a few races in the GP's on a for hire team,? I'm sorry SVEMO"s program and control has only left Tom,Richard and Alex as the great hopes for Sweden with nothing in the future..they have ruined a whole generation of hopefuls, It's sad that your national races are dominated by riders from Norge when they attend

Damn, I should have bet someone $500 that this nonsense-thread would go on for 5 bloody pages - and yes, I realise this post contributes to its longevity.

Hmm, France said last year the US did not have a very good team. They still won.

I am wondering how the Euros and their bikes are going to deal with high altiude. Should be interesting for sure.

While I think James is faster, I am glad Shorty got to go. Ivan Tedesco was considered the weak link a few years back, yet America still won. Year before last when James went, he crashed and could not get started. Tim Ferry was the weak link and still won it for America. Last year Dungey rode a 450 to his disadvantage and the team was considered weak and they still won.

Them damn weak american teams and riders, they always keep winning. America always sending the weak links makes us the underdogs. There's no need to fear, Underdogs are here

Personally, I think America needs to send weak teams so the Euros stand a remote chance of winning. If we would send our top best riders, they would never have a chance and the Euros would probably quit coming over here or even participating in mxdn because they know they stand no chance.

I think the French look good again this year and a few other teams. Should be a good race. It was kinda boring watching Rick C win week end and week out, when he was gone there were more chances that other riders could step up. Poor Euros, the always lose. You gotta feel sorry for them LOL

So i guess what you are saying is that Filip, Calle and Fredrik should just call it quits, cause they suck? How about Andreas and Jonathan? Them to?
Tibro has done alot more for Swedish Motocross then i guess you have
the last 5 years.. Right?
How would Mr. Soren or yourself do it better? Sure, Soren promotes the races were alot of fast guys (without future) grew up, but i doubt he made them any faster?

And i think you mean "RIDER" from norway.. Sure Kenneth kicked ass, but he´s also the only one "dominating" and he was a top 3 GP rider not that far off..

Come on, get clicked already..

If Sweden will see a new international toprider we need someone who has all the pieces together.

1: Talent
2: Financial possibilty
3: Desire to do whatever it takes
4: A bit of luck with injuries

We've seen some guys who had 2 or 3 out of those 4, but that's just not enough.
We could go on forever discussing which rider had what, and missed what. The truth is none of them really managed to make the step for different reasons. Jonas Wing was really close but to fragile in the end to last in the long run, which he understood himself.

I can't see any swedish rider right now that has those 4 fundamental pieces to make it to the top. We wil still see swedish riders doing GP's now and then, but by my definition you aren't a professional rider until you get paid.

I think crossgymnasiet works fine for those who want to be a national top rider. To become a top rider in MX2 you can't waste the years between 16-19 riding with other swedish riders cause the pace is to low. This is just my opinion of course. I would be happy to see a new Carla regardless of how he got there

No, the problem is that every year the strong-on-paper ROW teams do not add up to the sum of their parts.

The US, on the other hand, always seem to exceed the sum of their parts.

US can-do attitude, I put it down to.

Cant be anything but bait, Dungey lucky to be top 5 ?

The current number 2 ranked rider from the World MX came over and ran 2nd to Dungey on the weekend, Antonio is currently not coming so who on this planet is faster than Dungey on his home soil?

Dungey with a good start say top five should win, only riders i can see taking a win away from the Dunge, are Reed, Maybe CP.

If the Dunge gets a bad start 15th or back he is still good for a top 3 to 5, he will be up there off the start though.

No better fit guy out there by the way... he checked out on Deselle last 10 min of 2nd moto and laid down fastest time in doing so....TC aint no slouch either musquin better be on his game too-
1) Cairoli saw Glen Helen for the first time this year
2) Alessi grow up in Glen Helen
3) Ben Townley didn't race Moto 1
4) In moto 2 in italy it was 2 AM
5) Cairoli smoked Desalle in every race this year, he also has more than 100 point on Desalle.

Good one! Pretty much the point I was trying to get across, If they are not competeing at GP level by 16-17 they are wasting their time. Svemo thinks the moto world revolves around them and will not help riders as say Denmark or Norway does in the financial and logistic aspect of riding the european series. We arrived to a EMX2 junior race once {at our own cost} and Svemo hadn't sent any of the paperwork and we weren't allowed to race after a 3 day drive to get there. The FIM judge for the race allowed us to ride in a Danish position that was vacant and they paid all fees also..Never rode for SVEMO again after that.

they have done like that a few times actually. Forgot to send the papers, and forgot to tell the rider who travelled at their own cost 3500km.

I could go on forever about all the stupid things Svemo done. What makes it even worse is that they are a pretty rich federation. The lost SEK10milj when things went wrong with the WSGP at Ullevi. 1 1/2 year later their account was back to the same.

Most of their expenses are for wages to their own staff. For example a license for MX is around SEK3700. Only SEK 600 of the amount is for the riders insurance. The rest?

They could also learn a lot about being democratic and open. I think they must have gone to North Corea for inspiration...

I dont think his prediction is off by much , team usa is not that dominant this year. I can see dungey winning one moto and canard going 3-5 on his motos, andrew short going outside the top 5-7 in his motos. should be a good mxon france, belgium, italy, australia have a good chance at winning it all this year.
Thats what they say every year untill team USA kicks their asses and sends them home crying and this one is on our home soil once again can anybody say Budds Creek
