Closed without prejudice. They still have a possibility of refiling if they so choose. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s “over”. They could have more evidence, or found more funds missing and can refile for a larger amount. Who Knows.

The Lawrence’s didn’t blast or slander anyone. If you’ve ever spoken with an attorney in a similar situation, they advise you to publicly distance/disintegrate yourself from the person with facts and vague language. They posted something very neutral and fact based.
Due process is so long and drawn out. This doesn’t tell the entire story.
They said he stole from them. Unless that can be factually proven, posting that on social for millions of followers would be the opposite of advice any attorney would provide. His employer posting it is even worse

I wouldn't read a lot into a plaintiff filing a dismissal without prejudice. It's not a merits determination.
Does this just mean the Lawrence’s pulled it back but could modify the suite and file again?

It could be there's a settlement. It could be he doesn't have assets and it's not worth throwing good money after bad to pursue it. Clues will be if either party talks about it, or Mirtl sues for malicious prosecution.
But, yes, it could be refiled as long as that refiling is within the statute of limitations period, which could be 3-4 years depending on the state law and claims at issue. h
Yeah, he goes on & on about delays designed to 'bleed Mirtl dry' , but the court filings indicate but two requests for continuances, both by the defendant. Why hasn't this douche-y failure of a human being been ignored to the point of invisibility ?
