I think best option is probably stay at ktm. He’s so damn good just need to minimize the mistakes. And since ktm isn’t having a new chassis then he knows it. But star racing with Tomac about to retire probably at the end of outdoors could work. Or kawi as everyone else said, with Anderson contract being up.
Sure, but was 2006 a disaster for James? Is anyone saying “man if only he didn’t ride that bike…”
Won't be the same bike if what KTM said about this being the last Factory team edition on this platform is true.
Staying at KTM seems like the top possibility. However, I do not rule out a Triumph or Ducati result. Kawasaki doesn't really like the riders to tell them how to build or setup the bike and I think Chase is big on trying things... That reputation alone seems to lower the likelihood that he ends up there to me.

But it's also not comparable to today, every team was still in the early days of developing their 450. Really, only Honda had a proven platform at the time, but only 2 years into it. Nowadays, you've got teams with years and years of data and refining bikes and knowing what does or doesn't worm, vs a brand new team. Which actually makes what Triumph is doing all the more impressive.
For those saying he could go to Kawi...how would that work with Chase being a Red Bull athlete and Kawi being aligned with Monster?
I'd imagine he realizes it's in his best interest to stay put in order to take advantage of the work put into the bike...which by the way, I think the bike looks pretty good.
The same way it worked for Webb going to Star.
He was a monster athlete prior to being on Red Bull KTM. Coop had no issues going from Red Bull back to Monster, it's just a team deal, not personal.
Webb was a Red Bull athlete just like Sexton is a Red Bull athlete.
Guess it depends on the riders loyalty to a big sponsor. Such as Kenny making it a priority to stay with Red Bull when he went to Zuke.
Chase is staying put.
He’s not going to Kawasaki.
He’s had some bonehead moves but he looks good on the KTM. I think he’ll stay put.
That could be a bummer for Chase, usually a new bike takes a year or so to get all dialed in.
He could ride a hurricane and have bad billy Robinson as his team manager and Rick Mellon as his mechanic.
