I still remember referring to them as "CANNONDELAYED's " on Mototalk when they

were supposed to come out. Got some nasty emails about that....

Can't decide if it should be in a museum or a garbage dump.

I just don't see the parts being readily available.

You can still get parts for a 72 Pinto as well but that doesn't mean I'm going to go out and buy one......lol.

Indeed, they are scattered about mx tracks.....

* Did I mention I was briefly Jeff Gibson's Cannondale mechanic during the

AMA Fall-Classic Four Stroke Nat's ?

Well, I'm mentioning it now, dammit.

I said it then and I'll say it again. That project took huge nads to attempt and they almost did it. More than hardley davidson can say.

True......gotta give them props for that.
The EFI was ahead of the curve for its time.

I remember when they hired Keith Johnson as a test rider it all looked very promising.

They said the same thing about the Harley mx'er, now they're worth a fortune.

I really wish it would have worked out for them. Knowing the first models would probably need help, but kept it going. They would be nice by now I would think.

I owned one in 03. Believe it or not I had no problems. I unloaded it when I found out ahead of time Cannondale was going under.

For $1300 it would be worth it just to say you had one, kinda like owning an Edsel.

Kinda funny because I thought the same thing. I seen one at an art auction at the Merchandise Mart (world trade center) in Chicago in 2003. It was a little off mint, just well cleaned and went for 9 G as a collector item. IDK $1500 might be a steal.

my dad was a test/r&d rider for them
was a cool bike when they were running.
my job was to carry the booster/starter pack during the race in-case he stalled lol
forget about lifting them!
i have 3 of them in the garage lol (2 for sale btw)
and some cool one-off parts
was a shame they went under, might of had some potential?
(motor kinda reminds me of someone elses 450 motor Wink )

I don't know, I think I would pay $1000 just to have it in my garage as a conversation piece.
The ATK units look pretty cool and they even come with Ohlins front and rear.

I think a 2001 Cannondale BICYCLE has a better resale value than this.
