Rc visited my local track years ago to qualify for Loretta’s I found out got off work early and rushed home to get my son, when we got there he was super approachable and even took pics with my son waiting for his race . Nicest professional I’ve meet . Having said that he’s not that good in the booth but way better than must of us for sure !!!

As many other posters have said this is office politics, and yes worse than usual, I think what separates Daniel from most people is that he was not gonna take it. Most companies would claim they are places where successful people want to work. When that’s really not true, successful people like DB leave. On DBs podcast he said that even after resigning he was asked to stay. If he wasn’t an asset he wouldn’t have been asked; albeit he was told directly of his career limitations and left on his own accord. IMO didn’t want to be pigeonholed and wanted better opportunities that he had earned. Credit to DB (and perhaps his wife if you listened to his podcast) for having the courage to not take that BS.

Here we go. People, not a few either, bitch about the commentating for the SX races for years now. This hasn't arrived in a vacuum. And in this age of extremes all of a sudden people like you jump to the conclusion that to some commentating is the most important factor in racing. It isn't, nobody said it was, it's an avoidable annoyance is all. Look people who don't want to build new multi-million dollar schools do not hate kids, likewise people who think the commentating for the races sucks simply think it's a shame it can't be better. Year after year everybody knows RC sucks at what he does, even he states he needs improvement, it is unreal with all the talent available no change is made. As far as you not giving a shit about the commentating, obviously if you don't you shouldn't give a shit about people who do. That is the very definition of it doesn't matter or super trivial.

To all the people who state the commentating isn't important to them that's cool, good for you. But to some viewers they want better, it's not that big of deal, but many people feel the commentating can and should be better. What is interesting nobody is stating RC is good at what he does, the best thing that is stated is that commentary is not important - nobody should give a shit - might as well let RC do it as somebody who is good at it. Good point.

Definitely an extremely loud and weirdly obsessed minority. Outside of vital fans don’t care about it or even know what’s going on. DB himself says most fans don’t know he used to race. And I agree that most don’t know who he is. Harassing RC and Diffey on social media is beyond ridiculous. These people need to grow up….
The lynch mob on here keeps getting worse. A rider can finish second or third on the night and still get bashed on. It’s a small percentage of people on here but those people are relentless with the anger and hate.

Wait who's harassing RC and Diffy on social media? You said outside of Vital no one cares. Everyone from Vital is going over to FB and Instagram to harass them? It's a coordinated effort by Vital to go to all platforms and take them down! Or, and hear me out, theres just a segment of the fans that aren't happy with RC.
I've never met RC. My opinion of him is based solely on his racing, interviews, and announcing.
I simply don't have enough first hand experience to say he's a ginger dickhead with short man complex or an Uber talented racer just trying to transfer those skills into a life that very few can fully comprehend.
I suppose, if they could ever get Ryan Dungey to give his opinion of Ricky, I'd believe him. But, Ryan is far too decent for that sort of thing.
Having said that, I am and will continue to be a fan of Carmichael.

Some ppl have been bringing up that the race director is also dropping the ball because they always cut away to something right when a pass is about to happen. It happens every week. There is definitely a lot of truth to this. Yes ricky and leigh arent doing a great job but its made even worse by the director always cutting away at the wrong times, wrong replays, random interviews in the middle of the race, WAYYY too much split screen…etc. If anything they need to clean that part up first because you can always turn the sound off but if theyre showing the wrong thing on tv then youre gonna miss something.
