Remember when he came back after Knee surgery and wasn't sure how ell he would do and went out there and went 1-1? He wasn't even a 100% yet and still went 1-1. May be different this time but I wouldn't bet on it.

I cleaned out a few posts in this thread, pretty lame having to do that, but a couple of you need to learn how to voice your opinion without every other word being an f-bomb.

Bubba seems to still be getting faster just to watch from his vids. Anyone who bets against him forgot.

I'm excited. I'm bummed for James as it's such a lose, lose situation.

He goes in expected to win, and will hear the doubters if he doesn't win.

If he doesn't go, he'll get ripped to shreds still.

He hasn't brought this upon himself by talking, just simply an incredible track record of flat out speed and a 24-0 season bring this upon him. What should be sought after as amazing accomplishments deserving respect are instead a crutch for criticism.

I'll be extremely excited to see #7 on the track again doing the amazing things he does on a dirt bike. If he wins, awesome, that's an amazing accomplishment. If he doesn't, I know he'll have given it 100% and was out there trying to win ripping the grip off his throttle.

I'm not a fan of #7, but I respect him and am excited to have such an amazing athlete back on the track.
I think he brought some of this upon himself...he calls himself the fastest man on the planet.

Other than that, I agree with you 100%. I can't wait to watch him ride.

If he wants to go to the Des Nations, then he should get to go. We should send our fastest riders, period. If the fastest guy sits on the couch all year and then goes out and smokes the field at the MXoN, then be it. He shouldn't have to race the whole outdoor series just to prove he is the fastest. The MXoN is about winning one race which really is Bubba's world.

With all of that being said, I wish he raced the outdoors so I could watch in amazement.

Just another rider...that is right there with your lack of ability to count years and months.

What you did 2 years ago in this sport means jack shit. This is not a stadium with hotels and climate control. This is jacked the fucked up hot, muddy, dirty, dusty, rocky motocross. 10 million dollars a year the stud had better lay wood to everyone. Win by 50 seconds minimum. Shit. According to most accounts Dungey is racing for free.

You are funny little dude. So are you saying you can't add since you changed it to 2 yrs ago? Or did you forget that he ran the season the last time he raced outdoors. I guess what RC did in his last year doesn't mean jack shit either then. Ya this is not stadium racing but I think we all know that, most of all Bubba, one of only 2 guys to go undefeated in that fucked up, hot, muddy, dirty, dusty, rocky motocross. Is it hot where you are because I think your brain is scrambled.
Yup scrambled...or sunny up too close to the sun.

I hope he doesn't try to put Dungey in his place in the first 20 seconds of the 1st moto. James has the skills to get it done if he's smart.

.......and yes, I'm very excited to see him back.

James last 2 appearances as a member of Team USA have been less than stellar, he had no answer for Stefan Everts at Matterley Basin in 2006 and whilst he won the first moto at Donnington, just beating Seb Pourcel, he crashed out of 2nd moto and it was left to Tim Ferry to bring it home for Team USA.
Perhaps Andrew Short would be a more consistent "banker" points scorer for Team USA?

Dude got his man card taken away from the AMA for the 2010 MXdN. That speaks volumes about who he is as a USA motocross racer.

From what I understand James toned it down thinking of the team, rather than himself.

Hey RobinUK, refresh me memory, what team won when Stewart was in it?

Team USA of course, but if you believe that PR bull shit that he slowed down thinking of the team, then you really haven't got a clue what happened that day at Matterley basin.
Everts schooled him.......period! in their face to face races.
Were you there like us to see it firsthand?

James may be the quickest man on a motocross bike but he pushes the envelope too many times and crashes, hence his sitting out most of 2010 season.

You are right. We should believe you because you know more than the people that were racing or were involved with the racing.

I'm as excited as porky at Dunkin' Donouts. We all can bitch and moan about his lack of commitment/presence in MX and the many reasons for that, but I think we have to acknowledge him being the biggest talent ever in MX. Therefore seeing him racing again is the best thing that can happen in our sport.

Will be so cool to see him race a fit, experience and full of confidence RD with in my book half the talent!

I wish I could see it!

No matter what country, to be selected for an MXdN team is a privilege, not a right. And even if stewart is the fastest man on the planet like all the lovers say, it doesn't mean he deserves the right to automatic selection for the 2010 team. He needs to earn that privilege. And because he hasn't been on the racetrack for basically all of 2010 then he hasn't earnt that privilege. Try again in 2011 james!!!

Bulls**t. Teams all over the world try to select fastest , not most consistant or who ever falls less, or whos personality is up to somebodys standarts. Example, we have Lauris Freibergs who is selected for MX1 spot, but he retired two years ago and he does not race national championship, but he still is our best ,so he is the one who will be at Lakewood.
