Caved a few months ago and bought this after really not liking supercross 6. Pleasantly surprised, reflex-ish feel. A lot of work to do yet but they've made drastic steps in the right direction and hope they continue forward!
Still sucks. But it sucks less in first person. The bike actually feels fast in first person.
Playing in first person makes it way better. But sometimes the game play is frustrating.
Got banned in their discord server for posting an image of a pack of Butterscotch Snack Packs because of childish behavior by a few kids and the game's rent-a-cop moderator Spendy told us to "pack it in". But apparently butterscotch pudding is sexual now according to Spendy and the Urban Dictionary.

I've been building a mx racing league tournament website for the mx gaming community, and I used the official mx vs atv discord server to get patch updates from the development team. But their moderation team is ran mostly by a bunch of woke idiots clutching the urban dictionary as their source of knowledge.

You haven’t played so you can’t say anything about the game’s functionality. I’ve spent 10+ hours recently while healing from a broken knee so needless to say I’ve been patient and transparent. The game is literally ass. I’ve played every other MX title and this one is just bad. The whole career is cycling you through the same tracks over and over. The handling is manageable once you tune up correctly but it still sucks. Good thing I got it for free with my PS Plus Extra membership or I would be upset to even spend $17 when it was on sale. Trashhhhhhh! 🤣

Also pretty insane they still haven't figured out how to optimize the game for 1440p/4k or run it above 60 fps. Game is hitching and running like ass on high end Pcs. I also don't understand how the air and corner physics can still be so bad. I gave it a try every patch and bought some DLC's aswell. Supercross feels ok, the outdoor national tracks are fantastic. Everything else feels like trash. There is a reason the game only has double digit amount of players.
The new mad skills motocross game is the last hope I have for a good arcade motocross game.
I was scrolling through Instagram and saw this video. It makes so much sense now why this game is so bad. They’re literally using a 4-wheeled physics base game engine. Look at how good the game looks on a quad. All the movements seem natural and fun; reminiscent of ATV Offroad Fury. Then watch how the same physics are applied to the dirt bike and it becomes instantly clear. Im so glad there are some new people putting in time to make an actual fun game again.

Do you play the game? I play the crap out of the 2024 motocross season and think it's a blast. Try FPV at Red Bud and then come back and say it's crap.

Mx vs atv - great graphics, great sound effects, terrible physics.
MxBikes/MxSim - bad graphics, terrible sound effects, great physics.
This sums up the differences of them. Both have good and bad. Both are a blast to play online.

Is the game any better now in 2025? I have heard they keep tweaking on it and it's decent now? I had MX vs ATV All Out a few years back and didn't really enjoy it. Didn't like MXGP either.
For reference, my favorite moto game was MX vs ATV Supercross Encore. It wasn't perfect, that's for sure, but it was modern enough and still felt a little like reflex for me. I'd like to find a good moto game to buy for XBOX Series X, but honestly if I wanted to play lately, I just fire Encore back up. Should I buy Legends now?

Any average cpu or laptop can run Mx bikes
I play the shit out of Legends on the PC. Mostly for supercross. When you turn off all the assists + manual shiftin, that are set on by default, it’s a completely “feel”. There’s a pretty steep learning curve as well. Nothing compared to the simulators but the online racing is competitive and fun! I loved Reflex and also love Legends. Give it another shot if you haven’t already, adjust the game settings and let it rip!
I’m having a lot of fun playing multiplayer. Took some time tweaking things to my liking. No assists and manual shifting. I’ll give them credit for improving the game as much as they have.
