I emailed keefer about this and he said he was told that it is an option. None of my dealers have the ability to do it.
Finally got the ole girl sitting how I like. Gonna try and get some laps in this weekend.

I have been riding the bike this week at 4 different tracks. Besides me having to fix some things with my technique, the one thing I can definitely say is that the internal gearing for this bike is all off. Third gear is way too short and clicking up to 4th barely does anything. I feel lIke a tooth smaller sprocket nay help. Much to MXAs dismay.
I have the backfire screen out, both screens out of the stock exhaust with the end cap divot press out as well. The bike to me feels like it makes plenty of power. It just rolls through 3rd so quick it never gets a chance to pull.
Fits amazing. I will give a ride report after tomorrow!
Change the mapping you can alter the stock mapping
Idk how that is going to change the top speed in each gear. If the bottom end felt weak I would do it. It pulls all the way through, it just doesn't go fast enough in third.
Are you on stock gearing? Drop a tooth on the Rear. I’ve got a vortex on mine which definitely changes the power so hard for me to relate. I do run a 49 Rear though. Bike rips bad.
I felt the same with the stock exhaust. Feels like it pulls 25% longer with a hgs.
Ride report from River Valley MX on the Yosh, picks up much better on the low end and has a much stronger midrange, no dip. Probably slightly better on top as well. I will give this system a 10 out of 10 for me.
Are you sure you are not talking about second? I am not sure i have ridden a track where third gear runs out. I am on 13/51 gearing, which i can cary in the meat of the power at most tracks. Second runs through pretty quick.
I’m pretty hard on clutch, susually burning through a stock one in just 7-12 hours. I ordered a full Hinson setup and planned to install it after my trip to Florida, so I grabbed a stock clutch and an $80 Tusk set to keep as backups in the van.
After two weeks of riding in sand with an MX14, my clutch was completely fried. Reluctantly, I threw in the Tusk clutch, and to my surprise, its actually pretty solid. So far, I’ve put about seven hours of Florida track time on it, and its holding up strong. Normally, I stick with Hinson or factory clutches, but for $80, this thing is seriously impressive.
Just the plates correct?
Anyone try the 19/20’ complete Hinson setup in their 24’+ yet? 5-spring (2019/2020) versus the single-spring belleville design could be a good comparison, especially for clutch abusers…
Metals and fibers.
Pit Row
I haven’t but that would be solid to test out. I have a full Hinson but stock spring set up. I go through clutches quite a bit but the Hinson basket helps a lot. It allows for more oil flow.
Regular clutch or performance once? I’m trying the tusk performance clutch. Gonna get a little more life out of oem before install.
Anyone know where you can find replacement bolt for the front reservoir cap? Oem diagram makes you buy the cover too. I will go to local hardware store if i must but I’d rather not.
Nissin, right? Probably any other brand with a Nissin master cylinder. Yamaha appears to sell the screws individually.
Edit: Sorry thought I was in the 250 thread, lol. For the Brembo, KTM appears to only sell cap and screws as a set also.
Anyone got a good deal in florida lately? Thinking of Switching from a KTM SXF 350 24 to one of these.
What changes would you recommend to the shock valving to get rid of the rear kicking in the butt in bumpy downhills? More comp shim or more rebound or both?
I slowed the rebound substantially from stock with the clicker.
I got some more time on the bike, 2025 kx450.
I have no idea why I thought the gearing was off, I know my suspension was way off, sag included. So maybe I was spinning in the Florida sand? Idk.
Coming off a 2020 crf450 so I know what a fast bike is. Taking the screens out of the exhaust, backfire screen and opening up the divot at the end of the exhaust and setting the TPS are what I have done. The bike is fast, ESPECIALLY on the bottom. People saying the bike is slow are out of thier minds. It is a smoother version of my crf, 3rd in all corners and the bike just hooks up and drives forward.
Handling wise it's great, it's a lot more forgiving than the honda. It doesn't turn quite as well but I have confidence in the tires to stay hooked up. Suspension is OK. I have springs in it for my weight with more fork oil. I'll get it revalved but it isn't horrible.
I've got a rekluse torque drive on the way for it. Just the plates.
If you take a stepped drill bit to the air box cover, air box itself, and the side panel where it overlaps the the cover it helps noticeably too!
I have made some slits in the air box cover. Didn't mention it but the airfilter gets dirty as hell all over, so I don't think there is a lack of airflow.
Dumb question, how do you set the tps on the 2024/25?
Almost want to go out 1.5 turns on the high speed compression. It smoothens things out quite a bit. What do you weigh? I am 170 and went down a shock spring rate and it helps a ton.
