How could a person aware of this situation have any confidence in buying a new KTM/GG/Husq? They will have disgruntled suppliers and workers going forward. They will have to fight warranty claims harder. It's so disappointing. Are they banking on consumers to be ignorant of the situation? My current two bikes and previous two were Austrian made, however I am going to be pretty reluctant to buy another one.
Well they’ve certainly done a good of not having the media talk about it.
Sure it’s online, and in the business section. But I still haven’t heard much from a podcast or the super cross show. This could be the single largest news piece of the last decade and could really change our sport. KTM created an off-road market that was dying, kept up development of the two strokes and innovated quite a bit during the 2010-2020 era.
Without them. Conservative Japanese brands will stay status quo. KTM forced other brands to move forward with their designs.
We and countless other people we know and race with have bought PM bikes since this news broke back in the fall. Did it bother me their future is uncertain? Yes a bit. Did it bother me enough to not add a third one to our other two for a great price? Hell no. Still a great bike (at the moment)
Great bike created by unethical business practices.

Called to the mat again by the vitards and again they get STFU’ed. But I am the asshole.
Progressive….
If KTM could time a big sale in the US with the stimulus checks that are supposed to be coming out.
I didn’t call you names, I just said you wouldn’t answer a legitimate question 🤷♂️
You have been taking cheap shots at me for a good little bit now. You didn't attach a name. Big deal.
I’m guessing a lot of folks stretched themselves to buy a discounted PMG bike over the last 12 months. Those buyers are gone for a few years. Once they go back to full sticker the sales are going to be tough in this market. Not to mention the used market is saturated with low hour C19 impulse bikes. Locally you can buy a really nice bike for 50% of new. Fun funds are drying up across the nation. They still have a tough road ahead I believe.
So correct me if I am wrong. Pierer is going to fix/save the company by taking a mulligan for 2 Bil and then taking a loan for another 1 Bil that is guaranteed full repayment.
Brilliant!
I did. Guess it was not fast enough to suit everybody so insults where in order.
I know you will take this as a “cheap shot”, sorry in advance. I went back to give you the benefit of doubt to see if you edited your post and named the dealer. You did not, you also have had follow up post, but none that named the dealer? So how are you claiming you did?? I’ll gladly apologize if you can point out where you did
In Queensbury? They are still showing new KTMs for sale.
The door has been locked for a year Bro.
You're wrong.
The money intended to repay the 30% debt would mostly come from investors injecting 100s of M in the company, plus Pierer and Zöchling putting their own money, there is no 1B loan.
Is there anything else I can help you with today?
Yeah, what are they getting for injecting money into the company. When you figure it out we can discuss it.
Hope they never need to get a line of credit down the road. Surely going scorched earth with the banks is going to leave a mark.
Pit Row
Which dealer were you referring to? I don’t see anything showing the dealer name.
I guess Progressive, there's a progressive motorsports in Texas, and one listed in Queensbury New York that seems to be operating as DAX powersports now that sells KTMs but he says the doors have been locked for a year so idk when they told KTM to pound sand?
Where?
Sure they do...
https://www.daxpowersports.com/Inventory/All-Inventory
It doesn't matter by his own admission the dealer in question went out of business a year ago. Whatever happened had nothing to do with the recent claim that KTM NA is going to force extra inventory on their dealers under threat of having their dealership pulled. I have no idea why he argues the things he argues only to throw in the towel but continue arguing.
I guess they told their website guy to pound sand too.
Call them up...
I have been going in there for 8 years and have never seen a KTM. Nothing listed in their invertory either.
I’m just here for the Bankruptcy stuff 🤔
So when they where stuffing the dealers in '23 to inflate production it has nothing to do with any of this according to you.
BTW I never said they where doing it recently but many others have.
We've come full circle from "my dealer told KTM NA to pound salt and no longer sells them" to "my dealer has not sold KTM in the last 8 years".
You are clueless. Two different shops.
One sold KTM's and has locked doors the other never has.
Lol, there's not much to figure out, basically they're getting shares and a seat at the table, that's what investors do.
Do you have a point or are you just randomly jumping from one bad take to another?
