no_fun Added a reply to Need help with bar vibration-YZ250

I picked up a 2026 YZ250 last year. I was very concerned about vibration being a problem because I had a couple KTM 2-strokes with counter balancers previously. So, I preemptively installed Luxon 4 post bar mounts and Luxon rubber engine mounts along with some Pro Taper EVOs that were filled with silicone. I don't really notice any more or...

I own a 2026 YZ250. I previously had a 2024 KTM 300 SX and a while before that a 2021 KTM 250 SX. I’m curious if you could describe the power delivery you want besides "more linear" and "like the KTM". Do you just want more low end torque or does it spin up too fast in a certain throttle...

no_fun Added a reply to WTB Vortex ECU for 17-18 KTM 450

I have a XPR mapped Vortex ECU purchased new directly from XPR in March 2024. Mapped for a GasGas MC450F 19-23 / 91-93 Pump gas. I believe this would work with a KTM 450 SX-F 19-22 and Husqvarna FC450 19-22 without a remap.
All items removed from a vet owned 2022 Gasgas MC 450F. I'll sell items through Paypal as an item so buyer/seller protection is in place. I'll offer better pricing for in person transactions. I live near Highpoint and ride at several tracks in the area. GasGas Factory Racing Triple Clamps #79701999021FAA with PHDS - Progressive Handlebar Damping System #SXS07125200 and...

More focused on my kid this season so I’ve been riding less unfortunately. I’ve left the Vortex in the “best overall power” setting so far the couple times I have gotten out. It’s similar to my vortex on my 22. Smooth power delivery, reduced engine braking, etc. No complaints. That being said if I had it to do over again I’d buy the CUO for two reasons. One is you can screw with it at the track on your phone. No taking the seat off and getting a little screwdriver to turn a dial to a different map a piece...

@cwel11 Could you share any updates on this? Maybe a review of the XPR maps on the 350? I'm in the same boat now. $200ish CUO vs $400ish reflash. I just want to reduce engine braking as much as possible. I don't need race fuel mapping. I'm starting to lean towards the CUO and selling the Vortex.
How could a person aware of this situation have any confidence in buying a new KTM/GG/Husq? They will have disgruntled suppliers and workers going forward. They will have to fight warranty claims harder. It's so disappointing. Are they banking on consumers to be ignorant of the situation? My current two bikes and previous two were Austrian made, however I am...
Yes, the dealers should be proactive in building relationships with customers. I can accept being understaffed, but employing people who do not care and that are seemingly miserable to be at work will not get my money, especially if you are charging more than I can get it online. I'm getting the same level of service from powersports dealers as...

It would be cool if someone could share a quality photo of the 2stroke and still smoking race Saturday morning when everyone was lined up and the air was filled with premix. I was there and lived through three races during the event.

I can pretty much echo this feedback. I have 14 hours on mine. I'm running a valved 6500 kit from my 450 too. I have stock valving in my shock but with a 51N/m spring and good sag numbers. I can tune the shock to get good hold up and it feels pretty good on everything but small hard chop...

It’s 165ml. You also need a special tool to remove them from the fork cap as the standard one that works for the air fork doesn’t fit. I think Race Tech sales it. Yes the procedure is about the same. Ride JBI has a few YouTube videos on it.

You just overfill it slightly. Measure how far the piston goes down and fill up oil to that level + some. Mount it together. Then compress the cartridge a few times. Make sure to poor out the excess oil that's stays in the top of the cartridge if you compress it in fully vertical mode. Otherwise you will have more oil in outer tube than you fill it up with.

Fill with oil, measure down from top of tube, roughly 135mm down, insert base valve, some oil will push out during assembly.

Hey now, I have a set of 21+ WP forks with a 6500 spring kit installed that could use a service. I can not seem to find information on how much oil the internal cartridges require. I know the external tube requires 400ml. Could someone help out with the internal capacity? Is changing the 6500 internal cartridge oil basically the...

Keefer's podcast sold me on needing to try a Vortex. I gravitated to Chad at XPR after listening to all the ecu and engine building shows, it seemed like a better fit for me. I called XPR because I had some questions about compatibility with future bikes, Chad answered the phone and all of my questions. I'm still running a...

Cool, it's nice to see some positive comments. I'm on a 22 MC450F now. It's great and for the most part less fatiguing and easier to ride overall than my former 21 250SX. However, in some conditions and turns I miss the light 2-stroke feel. The luggable 300 SX is intriguing. I suppose I'm in the target demographic for a...
