oh so that’s why when we were walking out of Ford Field on saturday there was a girl who worked for Star Yamaha walking down the sidewalk with the winning trophy in her hand yelling “Cooper! Cooper!” trying to give it to him as he got in his car. 

i did see Cooper driving off and we gave him a fist pump for the win  but we didn’t know what any of that was about

Apparently the Peter Principle is flourishing within the ranks of the AMA & Pro Supercross. 

 

It is also possible the Detroit 450 class trophy could have been damaged or broken due to falling off a table or something, as they use a pretty tall and small table up there on the podium to hold those trophies. If something like that happened, then they would have grabbed whatever was available, which would have been next weeks trophy. Things can happen on the way to the podium and on the podium. Once they are on the podium, there are alot of people walking around with not alot of room. You have riders, TV cameramen and lighting/support staff, Will, JT, The Monster girls, etc, so lots of room accidently bumping into things that are fragile. 

However, there is also a chance it was human error as well. But if they knew about this ahead of time, then they should have told him to cover it with his hand for photos, or turn it around backwards so the event wouldnt show, and then take it back as soon as the photos were done and settle up with Coop later.    

Does that mean the 250 winner this weekend gets a juicy 450 trophy? 😂
