975 was the last 3 of my AMA number when they took over for CMC locally. I started with 45 because Bradshaw was my favorite rider. CMC made me put an “A” on the 45.
69 boys!
842 Ate for Two!
7 is my class and 22 is the year my son was born.
First number: 615 because of young RV(2) , first mx bike, -00 KTM 380! 😅 (not ideal)
Then: 221 because i liked how underdog Tiger Lacey (rip) was holeshot king on his YZF250 which was what i also had, 2002 YZF 250 with 2003 ext cam for easy starting.
Then us +30 guys could not keep our numbers below #300 (saved for the ”elite”) so i choosed 691…a 69 is kinda nice and #1 is #1! 😇
496, the Forest Service number of my favorite single track trail in Hobble Creek Canyon. Unfortunately it’s been closed for more than a decade. Had some fun times and great memories from that trail.
I am the third. My son is the fourth.
986 for when I cartwheel and yardsale and the bike flips upside down the number stays the same.
Started out 20 years ago with 45 when I started riding again, wife (girlfriend at the time) bought me an 03 CRF450 so I thought I’d run our marriage date backwards(May 4th). Recently I changed to 628 which is the month and year I plan on retiring from working for the Air Force as a civilian.
76
Birth year
I started with 18 bought the 87 cr125 on 11-18-89 my birthday. 18 was on the bike. Then I heard u hv to run a 3 digit number because it’s cool. Then 118. Then 531 because I was born 5.31 pm. Then I saw a pic of a cr85 ripper from cal. He had 232 in the cycle news
. I thought it looked & sounded cool . I went with 532 I think it looks the best . And it’s the 1st minute of Life for me. 532 divided 2 , 3 tines = 66.5 . I was born in 66. Everything with numbers creates a circle of good carma. Magnetic energy , spiritual flow of the universe. Or Extreme flow & whoop ablity to create a flat straight away in 4 footers. And extreme speed in my case. Ha
318, assgned to me by AMA district 36, been running that # since 1976
Pit Row
Ran #38 at my first race because our local hero Nathan Woods (RIP) ran the same. Started doing decent and ran #381 at Mammoth and Lake Whitney and saw J-law smoke everyone in 05'. Too fat and slow now so nationals won't be an issue. Back to #38
My unit number at work is 63. My sons number is 93, after Marc Marquez. So for our shared big bike I went with 963. He will probably race it some this year as he grows out of his 85, so I'll put 93 on it for him.
Had a Honda XR75 and wanted to be like Rex Staten.
69 club now, my wife insisted and I obliged. I was 33 forever which was my dad sports number.

wife pic or it didnt happen
The last time I raced, with the Over the Hill Gang in Southern California, I picked 509g. Same number as my father’s platoon in WW2. When they got back to the States, he and his mates incorporated a social club by the same name and had monthly pinochle games and took annual trips with their wives.
Lol I guess that counts. nice
873 I was going to be 387 like Metzger in Crusty Demons of Dirt 1 but the number looked lame compared to his custom number he had at the time. After that I realized how fucking lame it is to try and run a low number when you haven't earned it so I went with the highest number I could make. It's soo much cooler running the highest number you can while smoking riders with low numbers haha.
559. Mainly it’s the 59 but usually need to run 3 digits for NGPC and district 37 desert. My dad passed when he was 59 and was born in 1959.
Great number, by the way!
My dad was always #26 and he threw a 26 on my KTM SR so I just ran with it
