“Elon Musk was NOT Elected!”

Sure, they may have been in power when the budget was decided, but will Elon de-fund the State Department's expenditure on electric armor vehicles, when he clearly has a conflict of interest?

You'll have to explain why it is a wasteful expenditure.

LOL, you ignored my previous posts!

No, I didn't ignore your previous posts. US Congress wastes a lot of money, but not all of it. So again, show that it is wasteful spending before blaming Musk about any conflict of interest over it.

Yes, I do. As I stated, before you can start whining about conflict of interest you first have to establish the spending was wasteful and should be a target of DOGE.

What specific evidence do you have that it is wasteful spending?

No, a conflict of interest is when a person who has control over spending or not spending has a financial interest in where the money is spent.

The State Department's line item is "Armored Electric Vehicle", not "Armored Vehicle", the best vehicle at the lower cost should be what is purchased. There's your waste.

It's the same as employing somebody because of their race or gender, not employing the best person for the job.

Or are you happy with government corruption?

Not a conflict of interest 😂 😂

The US Department of State is planning to spend $400m buying new Tesla armoured vehicles, even as the carmaker’s boss, Elon Musk, leads efforts to slash government spending under Donald Trump.

Translation... Cut aid to the poor, buy more POS Cyber trucks.

As I stated, you have to show real evidence that the purchase is not the best car at the lowest cost. Do you happen to have the details of the requested specs for the vehicle? Do you have the submissions from other manufacturers to compare to?

Bringing DEI into it is quite the reach too.

Some spending is obviously wasteful or corrupt, like sending money to put on an LGBTQ opera for the pygmies in Borneo or somewhere. Some spending requires getting down to the details and a real examination of the expense.

The fact it's Musk's company is not enough to call it wasteful spending.

I'd like to submit for the record that I did, in fact, vote for Elon to do exactly what he's doing and for Kennedy to do exactly what he's about to do at HHS.  As for Trump, I'm not the biggest fan, but I voted for the crew more so than the captain.  So far I'm quite pleased with my choice. . .

Let’s see…

Succeeding as a “Practical Engineer”.

Has held and holds good jobs while starting his own businesses

Makes money doing the things he loves and even has the balls to torcher himself into buying a home in California!

The way I see it, someone who:

- Has close affiliation with the federal government,

- Has a vested interest in negotiating benefits from the Chinese government,

- Is extremely pro AI and keen to train it (as well as his social media algorithm) on large data sets of personal behaviour, and;

- Is literally working on chips to insert into people's brains

Having access to highly sensitive and private data sounds a bit like a libertarian/conservative version of a Bond villain.

That would be the no-term-limit left & right side of the aisle crooks that have been screwing America  for the past 50 years while they get filthy rich.

Defense contractors share prices will take a hit when Elon starts looking at Pentagon expenditure.

Good. As they should.... Secretary Hegseth has said he welcomes an audit. If there's waste and or fraud going on, cut it. We all know the DOD has a ton of waste and fraud from contractors. And they haven't passed an audit in years.

Jesse Waters on Fox said The average Gaza woman has 5.5 babies. That is on average 6.5 fewer babies than Musk 🍼

The difference is Elon Musk can afford them....

A conflict of interest is…running your mouth against…or, if you will…annoying the living shit outta the very people…indeed, The Country…that is the single largest PROVIDER OF LEADING EDGE WEAPONS to your Nation.

But, no worries. That doesn’t stop you.

We’d prefer you just say,”Thank you America.” …and then Shut The Fuck Up.

Sounds like your boy needs to check in on his own company 😕 😞 😂

In January, Tesla's sales plunged by 63% year over year in France, almost 60% in Germany, 44% in Sweden, and 38% in Norway. Sales were even down by over 33% in Australia.

Edited to add:

Seems the $400 million Tesla purchase has been placed on hold by the Trump administration. Looks like it was part of the Biden electric vehicle initiative. Also mentions that Tesla was the only company that showed any real interest in it.

"Elon Musk is not the wealthiest man in the world. He's the largest hoarder of money in the world. He's currently going through our government firing working Americans trying to put food on their table and pay for their kids college. Meanwhile he sits on billions of dollars, some of it made from the very government he's attacking with a sledgehammer. and will eventually die with 99% of it unspent."

How do MAGA folks justify this? Is it worth it? Or do u just not care until it directly affects you?

Easy, Musk isn’t sitting on hundreds of billions of dollars in cash, he’s invested almost fully into the very companies he built that have generated almost immeasurable wealth and opportunity for other Americans.  This narrative that rich people have some magic bank somewhere loaded with cash is ridiculous, net worth is calculated through assets and that’s what he holds (aka stocks in his companies).  He took a very stock-heavy gamble with Tesla and bet on himself making it succeed, and as such he has been compensated accordingly.  His methods and approach can be a topic of debate, but you implying that he’s hoarding money cannot be.

I think the better question would be how do people like you justify money being stolen from hard working people like me to fund corrupt government agencies that are working in direct opposition to my best interests, and providing wasteful salaries and positions to government employees that are providing little to no value to the American taxpayer?  This isn’t a charity, this is the real world where results matter, if you’re not providing value you get cut plain and simple.  How does one justify spending their entire life just floating through, doing nothing of substance or meaning, and having resentment for those that push and accomplish the things they never were motivated enough to pursue?  That’s the question I want answered.  Meritocracy is back and the only people who don’t like it are the ones who know they’ve been either stealing or skating by for way too long, period.

But what does that have to do with the work he’s doing to stop wasteful government spending?

Are you saying the government waste doesnt matter because of these circumstances?

Scrolling past the Elon bashing bullshit.

1.9 billion dollars earmarked for HUD, during the previous administration, has gone "missing".

It just keeps adding up.

But as usual, the message is overlooked because you're being told to hate the messenger.

As full of it as TempleofCrap is, I have to agree that Musk is not the wealthiest man in the world.  He’s just the wealthiest person that stays visible in the news and public view.  I would argue that there’s a Rothschild or three and some other “old world” dynasty family heirs that could probably buy Elon out of one pocket and sell him out of the other.  These people make it a point to stay out of the news and pull strings from behind the curtain.  If you’re really concerned about what super rich people are doing, start at the top of the chain.
