Yeah i don't think Guyon had any other options go get in MX2 and its his last year so its not like he had much to lose. I'm more suprised with kawa europe and the french kawa guy to jump in this.

Hopefully he will lineup some good sponsors to race the whole summer. He is quite underrated, he should do better than Kullas or at least similar.

Paturel could even produce better results in 450 AMA motocross championship than Kullas, I would say...

Why not...

But could he find a good enough deal (in term of money) in Canada?

🤔

IMO, he'd fit in with the KTM team. They're based in Quebec and speak French.

I suppose it depends on how much he'd be looking to get in terms of money. Wright and Pettis do well.

I'm not sure what's happening with the MX Deschambault team, but they're on Yamahas and also based in Quebec. Malaval rode for them last summer. He might want to reach out to Adrien and see what he says.

As for now, I think Paturel's priority is to find a deal to compete in USA (Outdoor National championship).

But who knows...

😉

Herlings confirmed he's out for Argentina.
He's not back on the bike yet, so I don't think we see him back at the first 5/6 races...

That's such a bummer. GPs aren't quite the same without him.

No they’re not but let’s be honest, he’s done now. His best years are long gone, probably still got it at the sand races though.

You think that Lucas Coenen will do better than Renuax & Febvre?

So if i take the list of Kemco this is what we now have in MX2:

All GPs:

Simon Langenfelder (MX2)
Sacha Coenen (MX2)
Simon Langenfelder (MX2)
Sacha Coenen (MX2)
Cas Valk (MX2)
Maxime Grau (MX2)
Quentin Prunières (MX2)
Thibault Benistant (MX2)
Rick Elzinga (MX2)
Kārlis Albert Reišulis (MX2)
Mathis Valin (MX2)
Tom Guyon (MX2)
Kay Karssemakers (MX2)
Ferruccio Zanchi (MX2)
Valerio Lata (MX2)
David Braceras (MX2)
Kay de Wolf (MX2)
Liam Everts (MX2)
Camden McLellan (MX2)
Guillem Farres (MX2)
Jens Walvoort (MX2)
Oriol Oliver (MX2)

European rounds:

Julius Mikula (MX2)
Saad Soulimani (MX2)
Paolo Lugana (MX2)
Martin Michelis (MX2)
Filip Olsson (MX2)
Samuel Nilsson (MX2)
Magnus Smith (MX2)
Oscar Brix (MX2)

Couple of wildcards:

Jan Krug (MX2)
Mike Gwerder (MX2)

The group riders who do just a couple wildcards will end up being 10+ riders and then at Lommel, Teutschenthal and Loket we should have some EMX250 riders wildcarding as well since there is no emx250 round.

It looks like more mx2 riders compared to last year at this point, but maybe that just feels like this because there are no injuries at the moment.

Just to clarify as of now Julius Mikula should take part in Argentinian GP and depending on his results there team will decide if they do only european rounds or dip in the overseas. With the pre-season banter i think they set the targets too high so most likely they will do only european rounds afterwards as you mentioned anyway. 🤗

Better than Renaux, yes. Febvre, about the same.

Febvre became a World Champion in his rookie MXGP season. I really hope that doesn't happen for Lucas Coenen, because that would derail the American dream. Off course they will think that won't be the case, but if he needs to jump into Supercross on a 450 (like Prado, because world champions aren't allowed in regional championships) he is toast.

Coenen has raw speed, no doubt.

But he will have to stay on two wheels all year long.

All parties involved should have known better with the history of that team and owner. Black eye for the big names that attached themselves to this team and career killer for Karssemakers.

The current situation is that end of last year Riley racing announced to do the mx2 championship with support from Kawasaki Europe and they had attracted former factory kawa teamowner JJ Luisetti as advisor. The team was entered as one of the officially approved teams by infront. They signed Tom Guyon and Kay Karssemakers as riders.

But Guyon ended his association with the team allready in januari and now Karssemakers ended it this week. It basically ends Guyons MX2 career (he ages out after this year) and could kill Karssemakers career since with a few weeks to go before start of the season it means there are no spots open for him.

NVA allready shared a link but the owner of Riley is involved in a case where they tried to blackmail the owner of Jumbo for millions. In 2023 the Riley team dissapeared during the GP season without notice.

The blame is rather to be put on infront who allowed such a team to be on their 'list'. If any of you read the Luongo's interview then you should understand why things are the way they are in MXGP..
Guyon just chose what he could. What a time to be a GP rider!

Herlings scheduled to race the first Dutch Masters race on March 30. Wonder if he'll do either of the proceeding GPs in Spain and Sardinia on the 16th and 23rd?

Heard something about a injury for Lucas Coenen, hopefully it’s not the case for the series.
