Cole beat everybody in the first two motos, not just Deegan. I understand there's a lot of "anybody but Deegan" sods at this place, but two motos at a triple crown doesn't settle the issue.

Haiden hasn’t consistently been faster than Davies all season. Talking just main events, Deegan was faster at Anaheim 1 and Anaheim 2 while Davies was faster in San Diego and Glendale. They’re about 50/50 with each other. Although they’ve both made mistakes, Deegan has made more and is in his third year while Cole is a rookie

Deegan fans are so fragile when you point out Deegs hasn’t elevated his SX game. It’s ok, he most likely will destroy outdoors, don’t feel too bad for him

Seems Davies is faster than Deegan now. Not something new to this sport really is it? Next big thing starts getting beat by someone else new before he hits his stride right? Happens from time to time.

Cole's ceiling is only going up, as we've seen every round.

Deegan being more established, we have an idea where his ceiling is.

So yes I would call Cole the better rider based on his trajectory over 4 rounds.

Davies was not faster at San Diego. Haiden had a faster laptime, average time, and beat him.  Other than the triple crown (which apparently settles the debate), Haiden has been markedly faster in both qualifying and main events.

It is entertaining seeing the 🤡 🤡 chomping at the bit for anyone to beat Haiden though.

Just because you're 971_Fan and a total deegan lover I had to say it. They're close now but Cole is going to keep improving . Haiden better of been consistently faster than a 0 race just coming in rookie. By the end of the season I wouldn't be shocked if cole is waxing deegan. Cole has already shown he has a way higher ceiling in sx vs deegan already. This is my honest take not messing with you on this one.

IMO with this attitude of sending it I don't see a bright future for him in the 450 class. Bacia used to rev shit out that 250 and we all know how it turned out in the 450 class for him. It will bite you and will bite hard plus all seasoned competitors. I just can't see it. Mayby it's just me, dunno..

I think he'll put the work in to improve in SX. Whatever critique you have of him, you can't deny he works his ass off. His ceiling is just limited in SX compared to some of these other young guns. And to be clear, I'm only talking sx. He's going to ruin these guys when they switch to mx and I could definitely see 450 mx titles for him. I don't see it in SX IMO

Who's new on that list that Haiden didn't smash last summer? Davies? He's better at sx and got beat by Adams at LL. I'm very critical of Haiden in sx. But he's a different animal outdoors. A year older and faster, yeah he's going to ruin those guys.

That's laughable. Deegan has reached his ceiling, and Cole's will only go up?  Furthermore, after 4 races,  you've concluded that Davies is indeed a better rider.

Deegan is still developing as a rider. Maybe let history play itself out instead of trying to write it after 4 races.

Davis is sooooooo smooth. His little hop out of the whoops into the turn was like butter.

I do think Deegan is better in the soft dirt, which is odd for someone from SoCal right?

Hopper has an Instagram post of Davies hitting an inside rut standing feet on the pegs that will break your brain. The skill level of the young kids is going up so exponentially

Well, we're all entitled to our own opinions, so we will probably have to agree to disagree. I think both riders are incredibly good and I think it's going to make the two fifty class competitive for the future, and I think that it's going to make the four fifty class competitive when they move up as well

Davies has raced a whole 4 sx races in his career and he already looks this good. I know it hurts and it's shattering your dreams of Deegz being a 450 SX champion. But you'll always have mx. He's much better at it

It’s ironic because wasn’t deegans whole thing growing up to focus on SX because that’s what’s important?

Polite, professional, and fast. Already a proven winner from a humble family.

What’s not to like?

The Deegandashians probably already hate them..

He's like Reed where he's better at sx too. Adams beat him at LL

Let’s give the LL career projection a rest. Swoll beat Jett in 2019. 2021 winners barely crack a top 10. Ferry beat Deegan and juju in 22. That race is joke. Jett reynolds was the next big thing coming out of there, along with Zach bell.

I've wondered this so many times. Access to full blown sx tracks his entire life. The amount of hours he's ridden sx must completely dwarf his competitors. It's a head scratcher.

This is Deegs 3rd year, even if you consider his dads excuses in the interview…it’s Cole’s first season and he’s supposed to be racing ams this year. Who would you guess has more upside in SX?

Haiden was riding over his head, that's why he crashed. He kept looking around and back to see who was catching him. The young guns clearly have our social media darling rattled.

Sure-but as is everyone else.
Eg Juju wasn't spoken of last year and now-different story.

If Davies can beat him at LL then why not any other track?

38 was supposed to be an animal indoors-and he ain't.

Sure he won...but he didn't ruin them by any means.

Deegan did pretty much dominate the field last year but Hymas could improve if he gets there healthy, juju should be better. I don’t see anything special with kitchen tbh. Hes good but he’s lacking race craft. Vialle should be much better after a full season here.

For sure Hymas is the threat. We saw him match and actually go faster than Haiden last summer. He's racing East sx? He had his ACL repaired right?

While I'll say Deegan was 100% the best guy last year and 100% deserving of the title, all the inconsistency of the other guys made it look a lot better IMO..

I'll be very interested to watch it this year.. Especially if Deegan doesn't win the SX title.

If he doesn't win the SX title, I think it makes it an even longer summer for his competition. He'll have such a fire in him from his struggles indoors

Yeah I could see that..

Or does he talk all about in the press, get in his own head, go to destroy them but only just win or crashes riding over his head or just gets beaten?

Let me make it clear none of that is my prediction haha.. Like I said I'll be very interested to see what happens!

He lost the title by 4 points last year in salt lake, and look at the fire that lit under him for outdoors, i can’t imagine the fire if he loses the sx title for the third straight year.

That's laughable. Deegan has reached his ceiling, and Cole's will only go up?  Furthermore, after 4 races,  you've concluded that Davies is indeed a better rider.

Deegan is still developing as a rider. Maybe let history play itself out instead of trying to write it after 4 races.

Brian's dick has clearly gone through the roof of your mouth and pierced your brain.

It’s ironic because wasn’t deegans whole thing growing up to focus on SX because that’s what’s important?

It's looking rough for Deegan.  He literally grew up with his own private supercross track.  Cole Davies grew up in NZ where there is one SX track in the entire country - at Ben Townley's property.
