Not the same. You can diagnose Achilles tear from across the room. ACL is sometimes pretty obvious on exam, but not always and usually not calling that one until the MRI.

Amazing racing tonight, this track was awesome. Congrats to chase, webb, kenny and eli. Elis starts held him back tonight except the last race. Really sucks what happened to jett. It’s crazy to think that the last 8 or so people who have won the 450 title haven’t defended it.(If this stat is wrong, someone can correct me)

It's also possible that Jett tore his meniscus...That's how I got mine. Not sure which is worse in the long run but with a meniscus tear, he may be back in a few weeks.

I’ll definitely be making the trip to Glendale going forward. I think this is my new favorite venue for supercross. The track tonight was amazing and one of the best I’ve seen in all the years I’ve been going to these things. The 450 class is insane. Great racing the entire night. I really hope Jett isn’t hurt too bad. That would be a major kick in the balls for the series.
We know just as much as he does at this point. He hurt something in his leg area and needs to get some tests done before knowing for sure. I’m not sure why people think we live in this mythical magical world where medical diagnosis is immediate.

You can still walk with a torn acl. I torn mine back in the day similar to what Jett did. My dad made me crank the bike and ride it back to the truck. I also tore my mcl a couple years before. There was no walking after that one. I tried and my knee popped out of place.

Jett update: jammed knee, going to get an mri.
Hill needs to stay right where he’s at. He has a fast bike and low pressure, which is exactly what he needs.
Physical exam isn't magical but certain things on exam can be about as diagnostic as an MRI if they're present. Key word Lars said was "stable" which tells me the specific exam things you do to stress certain ligaments were not diagnostic for anything specific. Did not have positive anterior drawer test if you really want to nerd out on it. That's good and unless he wakes up tomorrow feeling great and refuses the MRI.... won't know for certain until he gets the MRI.....
