Sure looked like an ACL to me. RV did the same thing in 2012.

When I tore mine I basically rode around so I got back to the pits with my leg in that same position

Didn’t look good at all but has anything been announced?

Looked like ACL to me. Nothing in it. But the instant pain and pulling off the track. I feel that’s a season ending injury.

He is bearing weight so that's a good sign.

What a year that was. Would have been an insane points gap if he raced the last 3

That will be the question. If it's ACL does he keep trying to race or get it fixed?

I would tell him to get it fixed. If he was cruising to championship, sure give it a try if you want, but with so many guys riding well this year..... just get it fixed.

I could walk after I tore mine. I could ride. But if I dabbed it wrong it would send a lightning bolt of pain through my body

Don’t think it’s as serious as you nerds want it to be

When I did my meniscus, I felt the pop and instant pain, pulled off, and got out of my gear, an hour later I was walking and not in tremendous amounts of pain, could be something similar.. I didn’t get surgery then and was racing the following weekend, but the pain when I did it was no joke.

Could be meniscus and it locked or was catching, hoping not ACL

Was it Hymas who raced without an ACL for about a year and a half?

I had a similar situation with my MCL from doing sprints, not even riding. It's still partially torn but doesn't cause me problems

Well this already awesome year is now gonna be off the rails.  Even if he is ok.  Enough of a deficit not to run away with it.

Several racers have ridden without for a season or for large stretches of their career but everyone’s different.

Id imagine at his age just call it a year and fix it right.  Hes got years a head of him.    Hopefully its not that bad.

He might be one RC is for sure. For some reason I want to say Kdub, and maybe Reed or DV

My oldest son who is a professional ACL tearer says its MCL...

That would be crazy, especially since he was really one of the first who could get a ‘Supercross only’ kind of deal. You’d think he’d have had it repaired right after a SX season ended.

DV has said he doesn’t have one of those knee ligaments. Is MCL the only one you can kind of get by without?
