the video does not even come close to showing how intimidating those jumps are actually on the track, everything looks short and not so steep

I haven't been to Red Bud so I dont know, BUT why don't they get a better camera angle for this jump?? Are there stands in the way or something??? Surely there is a better shot they can come up with to show how massive the jump really is.

Yeah all video makes this jump look like chump change. It's not. I honestly have no idea how 250f's do it let alone a 125.

The go pro lens captures a wide angle, distorting the point-of-view perspective. From the ski jump, to the launch pad triple, to the sand whoops and obviously LaRocco's Leap... they're all super-sized obstacles.

There have been some great pics of the leap though. The ones that have the fans in the background seem to give it the best perspective.

That is exactly how Kody Kamm hit it on Sunday, albeit on a 450. Good thing he had the front end up or it may have been ugly.

The jump is way bigger than it looks. I think only Barcia, Pourcel and maybe one other 250 even tried it.

I believe TP never hit from the corner, had to cut the track to do it. then fonz or roncada hit it from the corner on their 250fs

I think so and the corner before has a lot more sand than it used to have robbing power and momentum.

the approach does seem shorter plus they have added alot of sand and plow the corner super deep making it hard to carry speed through it.

If you haven't walked up the face you cannot imagine how big the jump is. It is ridiculous.
