First of all, let's say the dad did say that. Then he is misinformed on how a race team works. Or maybe, Chad is telling that to his dad as an excuse as to why he's riding poorly.

Regardless, I'm just telling you that Chad's bike is as good as RV's, or as good as Chad set it up for himself. The team won't give him lesser equipment, because they want to win........period!

"MXTR" my good friend.
We both know your 100%+ correct in your thoughts here and
in all this. Trying to convince or reason with the unreasonable
is impossible. As opinions go, and sure they do go, when insiders
say what's factual, it's not an ego thing but just stating how it all rolls,
goes, is, whatever. If the few don't buy it or agree, so what.
Your actually doing them all here a favor by putting your stamp on it.
It's up to them to read, learn & listen.
If not, then not!

Reed is too rich man...he has lost that drive to be on the edge..........enough said......

Did any of you forget who he left behind? Goose, who has to be one of the most winning mechanic's in the biz, also who has assisted #10 in getting the job done, in both set-up and at the track adjustments.

LMAO! he would have to be some sorta super hero to be able to run home to AUS and make a post, then run back out to the track to make the race.

Sure is awfully troll in here.

Also, Reed is done because: he has a family, he's already won titles, etc. If I were him, I'd ride off into the sunset and enjoy life.

Villo can win on the Kawi... , its not the bike. Tommy Hahn looked better on the Kawi then the zook.

OF course Stewart would win on it...

Reed is fighting Reed... I would too if I just had a kid etc...

Nyk Wey is riding Villopoto's bike.

So are you saying that Ti Lube paid more money so Nyk could ride RV's ProCircuit Kawi bike and that Monster didn't pay enough for Reed to get the same parts or the best available parts so they are just gonna let him wallow in DNF's? And are you telling me that Reed wouldn't throw down $50k of his own money, out of his estimated $20 million US fortune if he felt the bike set him back in moto 2 at Hangtown?

And that Kawasaki can't make a bike as good as Pro Circuit? Wouldn't Kawasaki just buy Pro Circuit and change their name?

This week Dunlop was at Reeds house with ten tires for Reed to pick and choose from that are UNAVAILABLE to anyone. But Kawi can't build the defending champ a bike that is up to par with Nyk Wey's/RV because of budgets?

And all of this helps Dungey "get lucky" too I bet?

nothing frustrates me more than these "factual" posts "Reed is done" Reed doesn't fight" blah blah fucken blah if you've got an opinion, that's fine but that's all it is.. noone in this thread knows what's going on.

nope, no you don't... you don't, i can hear you talking at your computer that you do,

but you don't so stop posting your opinion as fact cause it's not

ok other things do frustrate me more but it does shit me..... a lot

The Kawi is a great bike. That bike or any bike for that matter would not be holding Reed back. The truth is, Ever since Dungey beat Reed down a few weeks ago heads up Reed has given up. Reed is not a fighter. If it comes easy he is all in. When he has to take care of business on his own he lays up.

Congrats man.. u just took over the Red plate from R-acer as number 1 cock head.

IMO that bike and REED dont go together. He hasnt been as good as he was than when he was on the suzuki. IMO the suzuki is the best bike. It doesnt push hard in the corners and handles well probably because of the showa suspension.
FlaNard wrote:
Exactly. Not a bad bike, but the combination doesnt work well together. He would be doing alot better back on the RM.
True and to extend this sentiment into the Villopoto thought, RV has been riding Kawi's forever so he's obviously more comfortable and accustomed to what it does whereas it probably feels awkard still for Reed.

I will be interestered to read an interview a few years after he retires and see just how much he hated this bike.....oh imo.

Add in the other factors that have been mentioned to death and it pains me to say but i dont see Chad being a real threat anymore, especially on Green...

IMO, he's lost the drive. He's collecting a paycheck and he already has one foot out the door. He just lost his best friend, he is a new dad, and he has more money in the bank than he knows what to do with. I think he just doesn't want to push the envelope anymore and already has his head into racing on four wheels. Just watching him ride now it just seems like he has lost all his aggression and doesn't really have the fight in him anymore. Just my .02 cents but thats what I believe.

DV12 whats up with Reed? Would like to hear from a pro's perspective. Huge Chad Reed fan by the way but he certainly does look like he's struggling with the Kawi.

Well Reed pulled out with 2mins to go and didn't show for the second moto 0 points!
That doesn't happen because he has a kid, friend died, no heart or fight. That happens because something was/is seriously wrong - end of story.

As far as his perfromances of late, the aforementioned things all could be a factor.

It pains me to say it also but he certainly doesn't look to be a threat.

It's gotta be painful for Chad to see his old bike, team and MECHANIC killing everyone each weekend.

Dungeys on a good one right now. Anyone who watched Reed race last year knows the dude is a fighter. I left washogal last year in awe of the dudes effort. Its weird how when one dude can run your pace the whole race it throws everything off. Dungey really hasnt seemed to not be able to do that for a while now.

ocham's razor - Friend killed racing. New Baby. Hot wife with big tits at home. ~ $30 Million in cash / investments? Several U.S. Titles.

What the fuck is he doing out there - that's the big question! When you ride at this level, you're head needs to be in the game. Time to pack it in while he can still walk. Go back to Sydney, kick back with a lots of cold beer, and enjoy family life and old friends.
