I love HD. He’s the future and I’m a massive fan. But Im also a fan of the sport and for as much sh#t as he talked coming into this season, saying he was gonna pick new riders to get in their heads and poking fun at Forkner and Kitchen for having to switch coasts, he deserves to eat some crow now. There is a reason they run the races.  Deegan should be glad those two ‘heavy hitters that dodged him’ didn’t actually race West because he’d have been 7th at the opener and 5th at round 2 if they had…

Easy now, someone will accuse you of picking on a kid.

To be fair, he’s fine. I’d still bet my money on him to win West, but he definitely needs to chill on the sh#t talk when he still hasn’t event won a true SX title yet.

If it wasn’t for the Ryder D and Cole mistakes he’d of been 5th tonight too. Rough

The bigger the ego the harder they fall. Danger Boy looks shaken. Good to see him congratulate Beaumer. Julian (sp) rode phenomenal.

It was telling that Beaumer wasn't doing the triple-quad but still maintained the gap over the riders behind him that were.

He was NOT expecting JuJu, and others to have upped their game so much this year......  He just knew this was gonna be a  breeze.   Yes, he is rattled.  This was not supposed to happen.......  His ego has taken a solid kick to the crotch 2 weeks  in a row now.

A little humble pie for the kid will do him good

I fully expected kitchen to beat him. Deegan wasn't as good in SX as he was outdoors. But we don't know how much of that was the lack of prep.

That said after kitchen and forkner were out I almost thought he'd go undefeated. He didnt have the speed today. That wasn't just to blame on the start. If Davis and difrancesco don't both run off the track he's most likely not catching them

He's definitely not the dominant rider at sx that he is outdoors. His starts are seeming to be the biggest weakness is his game. I still think he wins this title

It wouldn't suprise me if Deegan never wins an SX title.

He’s a much better outdoor rider than SX and you can tell Juju put in the work this off season. His first ever win and he acted like he just wants more. Lil Deegan is rattled. Gonna be a good series for sure!

Needs to put his head down close his mouth and let the racing speak for itself.

Love it we have the competition and he is clearly rattled.  Interviews are a whole different kid.  Will be interesting to see how he responds,

Terrible starts aren't going to get the job done.

It wasn't a real advantage. Too much air time, you are slowing down when the bike is in the air.

Then why were the top 450 guys doing it lap after lap?

Its pretty crazy that he was talking about jett and then kitchen moving coasts and completely ignoring the talented kids that are in his class that he still had to beat before he won the championship. He was completely looking past shimoda, juju, and davies like he was just gonna walk over them. Right now juju is actually looking like the fastest kid in the class, shimoda is gonna be consistent all year and has the talent to run with anyone, and davies looks incredible for a rookie. Dont count your checks before they cash.

250's? That would surprise me. 450's are a different animal. Stacked class. I've always felt like he doesn't have the same natural flow on a sx track like the best riders. Which is weird considering he's probably been on real sx tracks since he was on 65's. Way longer than the kids he's racing
