My son said it was a Yamaha pit board in the replay

who are we out to get?

Pitchforks, cancel culture or accountability. Whatever you call it someone really effed up hitting Jo like that and there should be consequences and an effort to prevent it from recurring.

It was a joke..

Agree that the track layout is poor at the mechanics area, the barriers should be pushed back 8-10 feet so the riders don’t get so close.

Deegan’s mechanic was on a podcast saying he would mess with other riders (writing things on the pit board I believe). He may have said more than that, but I can’t remember, but I bet somebody can and will find it.

Pretty egregious no matter how it all went down, but if there’s more to it, it’s insanely lame and there has to be penalties.

Holy shit, you're right!

Joke?

Well, you obviously haven't met the new Vital Joke Patrol Officer - he issued me a big ol' ticket the other day. You have to get all humor approved in advance or suffer the consequences.

Don't worry, he'll be by shortly to set you straight. 😄

The light blue with the Mechanix logo appears to be Club 🤔

Surprised but also not surprised there's been no reporting on who it was

why don’t they have hay bails on the track line and then have the mechanic barrie’s 3 foot way from the track bails to allow for pit boards ?

Clutch ride by Jo regardless for 7th. I hope he can get them remedied enough to get him back up to speed by next week.

I’m shocked that the AMA didn’t move the mechanics back 3 feet after this happened. They are holding boards right in front of those riders faces with this layout.

3 more feet for the riders to drift over, it’s a lose lose. They always ride so close to the mechanics..

We might have a STORY.  Jealousy, revenge, win at any cost...

Watching qualifying Joe put a fast lap in and then pulled off. The only rider in front of him of I think was TJ Albright. To be honest though, you can’t tell.

In the replay they showed post race, the board looked like it was sideways and the sharp edge hit him direct. Not a good look.100001064110000106431000010645.jpg?VersionId=8bRM3lrrmw

That shocked you? They do nothing about safety except banning dragon backs and go pros. They talk a good game but clearly don’t want to put in the work to actually improve safety

put track markers on the edge of the track line then the mechanic barries 3 foot from that….. they seem to follow the track markers the rest of the way around of the track

What’s annoying is that is a zoomed in shot from a larger frame that would add context if they showed it.  Did a Yamaha rider just go by?  No one?  You could then see which mechanic it was.  They are maybe doing it to protect identity…but someone has it on video.

Yep, first thing I noticed as well. They don’t want a witch hunt which ultimately is the correct thing to do but definitely annoying for people who are eager to know the full story.

Surely they know who it is, and are probably having some internal conversations between team managers.

Just went back to see if you can see it.  Hard not to speculate when you watch 250 Q2 when they show Jo holding his hand at the 2:40ish and at the 2:22 left mark…. Just enough of a flash to make you wonder…. Not conclusive at all…just a little makes you go hmmm.

That actually looks like 38 pit board.

"  Our boots on the ground man Aaron Hansel spoke with Honda HRC personnel in the pits, who confirmed Shimoda leader suffered two broken fingers in his left (clutch) hand after...hitting a pit board! We are unsure of whose pit board he hit, but can confirm it was not Haiden Deegan's mechanic.  "

Everyone says it was a Star board - Why was a Yamaha pit board out in front of the HRC rider in the first place ?

People are asking how much did Brian pay ?

They must know who it was - Why is that info not being released ?  Legal Liabilities ?
