Seeing alot of fans complaining that ty has been moved and that Kawi is costing him a title shot. Not saying ty can't be a top guy but can we hold off on him being a title contender? Let the kid get a full season and get some top tens and fives before we go straight to a title contender. I think this switch can be very helpful for him with the west being less deep now.

Excuse me, who is saying Ty Masterpool is a title hope for SX? That's ridiculous - unless he's made massive strides in the off season. He was signed for MX not SX.
You never know until they go racing. I would be annoyed.
Alot of people on social media are saying hes getting screwed.
I know it's unlikely but let's just hope he's not within 25 points of first place after this season 😬

Dude has failed to qualify for the Main more times than he's qualified.
He ain't a fucking title threat.
People just be looking for something to get outraged about.
Is this the case since joining PC…?
Exactly. I like Masterpool. Hes been the underdog for years outdoors but when it come to Sx he was even making mains in 2023.
Maybe better for ZipTy, less pressure….
More time to get ready for MX
If Kawi thought he was a title contender they wouldn't have done it
Great move, he’s still building his supercross program- if he does get injured it gives him more time to recover before outdoors. The one this does put pressure on is Marchbanks, won’t be a good look if he doesn’t beat Ty when he is on a one year deal
Having 4 PC kawis on one coast is a recipe for disaster. Ty is there for MX and he just needs to make it through the SX season unscathed, probably a relief for him having one less race.
I read one comment somewhere, bitching about they wish Mitch would let the riders know which coast they are racing earlier than the night before A1. Do you really think they don't have this planned out months in advance? Ignorant comment
From where I’m standing…Mitch hired him because he produced…& he produced excellent results.
His outdoor results on PC bikes were stellar & I’m sure the PC crew put Ty thru “the ropes” at their/Kawi’s SX test tracks before they offered him the ride.
Aside from all of that…he’s a Masterpool and there are those of us that are simply stoked to see that name…to see a Masterpool…back out there racing up front on the best equipment.
Pretty sure Mitch thinks he will win an SX race but all the other EC guys already have.
It's pretty well documented in the moto media that PC doesn't have it planned out months in advance.
Mitch likes all of his guys to be ready for A1 in case of injuries.
Who’s saying that they shouldn’t have signed him or that he shouldn’t be racing? I feel like you changed the topic completely.
He is potentially already 25 points down before his season has even started. Now before you can say "he would not have won" and I would typically agree if Deegan was up front, but he wasn't, Ty very well could have been there at the end of that main last weekend. I know he is great outdoors, but the money is in Supercross, every point to the end of that series is what matters most, and he showed massive improvement in the SMX races at the end of last year on the PC bike that actually runs. No matter how you slice it, he is behind before he has even started, that is a very kind gesture on his part.
If there is any positive, it is definitely less pressure, and IMO there is lot more talent racing east coast, his chances for podiums definitely went up. I am sure Ty really didn't have a choice, and if these pieces are moving like this to accomodate Levi, it puts a ton of weight on Levi's shoulders.
Ty's not a title threat yet, so he'll be fine even being one race down. The one getting screwed in all of this is Drew Adams. The kid is way too good for Futures, and should have been on the line last week.
Pit Row
For those pointing to his SMX results, while these improved in the final round, it is clear they don't indicate he'll be smashing it in SX this season.

He’s not a title threat in SX. He goes where his team says he goes…
And frankly, I would argue this is better for his MX effort with more time to focus on outdoors at the end of the SX season.
People can whine about anything…. A world of Karen’s we live in.
Getting paid to ride dirt bikes, he is playing with house money, fuck it do the best you can, have fun. Could do better than Marchbanks, maybe....
2024 he came in late to 450 made some mains and did generally okay. 2023 he raced A1 and that was it... what are you talking about?
cut that in half for east/west and he's comfortably in the top 10. Dude has raced a handful of SX in his pro career starting in '21, and hasn't raced one on a bike as good as he has now with as much preparation. Will he be a title threat? No. But he won't be a slouch and could see him getting 4-7th, maybe even a podium by the end of the year if he starts up front.
That was suppose to say wasnt making mains. But youre solidifying my point that hes had little success in supercross so to say hes a title contender is insane lol.
I got flamed like crazy on Instagram for saying Ty is a great outdoor rider but has a long way to go before he’d be considered an SX title contender. I hate that place.
I think it's good for Ty. The West schedule also puts him in a better timing window for outdoor testing, where he's expected to shine.
But yeah after Drew's IG post I thought for sure he was gonna get the spot? Does anyone know if that's still a go?
I don't see how, as wasn't there reports Drew was faster as well plus the others who are real SX guys. Very smart move I say, and lets not forget Mitch signed him to give him a chance, get SX done get inside top 5 and do real well outdoors he gets resigned..
Great move and one I mentioned in other thread, hell I would through Drew in there too... then 3 both coasts..
I guess there wasnt enough parts and man power available to send drew out full time. I dont think hes running a full PC bike yet. Its definitely the better move to get 4 bikes off one coast.

yea I read it as 'wasn't' anyways. I think he'll do better than people are giving him credit for, but championship contender, no way.
