Just imagine how much money would be made if they had it at Chicago again with a amateur day involved…

Archviewmxpark is only 6 miles from the stadium. We will offer free parking and camping Friday and Saturday night, you can walk across the street from the track and catch the Metro Link train and ride it straight to the stadium. Also Archviewmxpark will be practicing Friday night under the lights and practicing again on sunday smx 3.JPG?VersionId=f72OrOL6hHh4

I agree 100%.  This would be an awesome venue, for the spectators and the racers.  I am sure there is other reasons why this was not considered, but this would likely be reason #1 (same weekened):

Bristol

I don't like the sounds of it. A step backward imho.

A step back indeed. I mean at this point - make one of the “playoff” rounds take place at a national track?

I think they picked St Louis for a few reasons.  Location, its spread out from the other playoff rounds and its close to several major cities.  Venue, its indoors so weather is not an issue, and the venue has an existing permanent staff.

I mean might be kinda cool if they race out into the convention center. Im surprised they havent tried looking at the LA Galaxy Stadium out in Carson, CA after the way they did the ramps for X Games Supermoto back in the day.

There’s quite a bit of room in that convention center, so it might actually be pretty cool.  I think the most important feature of the venue is the central location and cheap cost. They’ll be pulling fans from St Louis, Indianapolis, Nashville, Chicago, and Kansas City.  I know I’ll be there.  On top of that, Archview MX is hosting practice on Friday and Sunday.  You can bring your RV, camp at the track, and take the train to and from the stadium.  I can’t wait!

The west side grandstands roll and move and connect to the convention center (where the privateers pit) so that's probably the room that they use. But they have added on to the convention center so they could use part of that main room now.

The main tunnel goes out to the street and some abandoned parking lots across the street, but I really don't see them doing that move, but they could go out there, take a left and come back up the ramp that we usually use to go into the pits and take a left again into the privateer room.

I'm sure most of you have no clue what I'm talking about, but the ceiling is high enough to put some big jumps in and have 3 lanes in there before coming back into the stadium

No more Supercross in Mercedes Benz Dome - Atlanta. The HVAC maintenance following the dirt events were too much so they didn't renew the contract. This is from the person who headed up the Georgia World Congress Center that controls the dome among other properties. I was able to sit with him at a soccer match and ask him about it.

I would think the new Braves Stadium (Truist Park) or the old Braves stadium which is now Ga State's football field would work well in replacement. Plenty of parking for both.

HVAC maintenance?

There's no dust and I'd bet there's more smoke during a Snoop Dog show.

Truist park would be a cool venue the whole strip thats at the stadium is awesome with bars and all.

Went to a Morgan Wallen concert there with 40k people and the the bathrooms and vendors were a cluster fuck, girls going in the guys bathroom because the womens lines were 100 people long it was a mess.

Have you ever been to Bristol ? Im only a few hours away and have been to nascar and the dirt track races. Its way too banked to have a SMX race. The infield pits is about all they could use.

I was thinking this too, but with smx dates being too close to this I don’t see it ever working. Plus the place looks empty with 60k people

Will there be a need to reserve parking? The wife and I will likely take the train into town.

I for one am looking forward to seeing what they come up with.     The repeat-o-cross tracks throughout the SX series get old.
